Leads satellite mission analysis and LEO constellation design, including orbital dynamics, architecture trade studies, communications performance, autonomous control, station-keeping, collision mitigation, replenishment, and end-of-life planning. Serves as a technical authority, guides simulation frameworks and modeling tools, advises engineering and program leadership, leads technical reviews, presents recommendations, and mentors engineers across systems and mission analysis disciplines.

Own the developer experience for software-defined radio and space communications development kits. Lead BSPs, source code distribution, firmware workflows, documentation, reference projects, tooling, automation, and release quality. Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, embedded, and applications engineering teams, gather customer feedback, and translate it into platform improvements. The role requires strong embedded or FPGA platform experience, C/C++ proficiency, embedded Linux or RTOS knowledge, Git, CI/CD, and hardware/software interface expertise.

Develop and maintain satellite flight software and software-in-the-loop systems across mission development, integration, testing, validation, and in-orbit support. Design software architectures, implement embedded and Linux-based systems, control spacecraft subsystems, perform code and design reviews, troubleshoot hardware and software, and support reliability, fault recovery, configuration management, and continuous integration. Mentor engineers and collaborate with hardware, ground systems, and mission operations teams.

Develop and port embedded Linux applications, device drivers, libraries, kernel customizations, bootloaders, and tailored Linux distributions. Maintain Yocto-based build systems and CI/CD pipelines, deploy software images, and support hardware bring-up, system integration, testing, qualification, and in-orbit operations. Collaborate with hardware, systems, firmware, and FPGA engineers while contributing to architecture, design reviews, documentation, and technical proposals.

Develop and architect space-based communication systems and phased-array payloads for satellites and aerospace platforms. Define, decompose, and trace requirements; support verification planning and testing; perform risk analysis; and develop system architectures and CONOPS. Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, vendors, and component developers, resolve technical issues, track milestones, and drive complex communication programs toward successful delivery.

Designs and develops mechanical systems for phased-array satellite antennas, payloads, subsystems, and interfaces from concept through in-orbit support. Responsibilities include architecture trade studies, CAD and FEA, thermal and structural analysis, manufacturing, testing, qualification, mechanisms and actuators, environmental testing, and customer design reviews. The role also supports proposals and requires expertise in spacecraft environments, aerospace materials, electronics packaging, EMI/EMC mitigation, and reliable deployment systems.

Design and develop space-based communication systems, including architecture, payloads, requirements, CONOPS, risk mitigation, and system interfaces. Serve as the technical point of contact for communication programs, coordinating multidisciplinary engineering, program management, manufacturing, customers, vendors, and component developers. Lead requirements management, technical baseline discussions, issue resolution, milestone tracking, and continuous improvement across complex aerospace programs.

Develop and architect space-based communication systems, including phased arrays, payloads, subsystems, and hardware/software interfaces. Define, decompose, and trace requirements; support verification planning and testing; perform risk analysis; and develop mitigation strategies. Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, vendors, and component developers while resolving program-level issues, tracking milestones, and driving complex aerospace communication programs toward successful delivery.

Translates system and customer requirements into traceable software requirements, verification strategies, configurations, and acceptance criteria for embedded spacecraft systems. Collaborates with systems, software, hardware, and test teams on integration, architecture, interfaces, release coordination, and issue resolution. Supports requirements management, verification matrices, readiness reviews, PI planning, and milestone execution while mentoring junior engineers and improving cross-functional engineering processes.

Provides technical leadership for FPGA verification, debugging, qualification, and validation of hardware products and platforms. Develops verification methodologies and plans, evaluates simulations and engineering risks, performs failure analysis and root-cause investigations, supports hardware integration and design reviews, and drives improvements in FPGA performance, reliability, quality, and maintainability. The role also guides customer and technical discussions while resolving complex engineering challenges.
