The Systems Engineer will work on system architecture, integration, test planning, and modeling/simulation in missile defense projects.

Lead engineering efforts for missile defense systems, focusing on architecture, integration, and simulation. Collaborate with stakeholders to shape system requirements and verify performance.

Manage a diverse team in production environments, ensuring compliance with engineering and quality standards, and improve processes and product quality while handling multiple projects and competing priorities.

Lead management of 787 Tier 0-2 requirements, guide design reviews, coach design engineers, maintain process guidance, track multiple change packages, communicate risks and schedules, and support consistent systems engineering across teams. Travel up to 10% and onsite work required.

Lead development and research of new aerostructure products and manufacturing processes. Define and mature concepts, perform trade studies, develop test and certification plans, and progress prototypes through verification and validation. Collaborate cross-functionally, document plans for proposals, and evaluate product performance, cost, and manufacturability. Hands-on composite manufacturing experience and ability to obtain U.S. Secret clearance required.

Lead a team of engineers and operations staff to develop and implement manufacturing build plans, improve processes, ensure quality and safety, resolve root causes, manage schedules and metrics, and communicate progress to senior leadership while spending significant time on the factory floor.

Lead and manage an on-site aerospace engineering team through full product lifecycle. Oversee technical processes, cost, schedule, staffing, risk mitigation, cross-functional coordination, and employee development to meet program priorities and technical requirements.

Design, analyze, test, certify, and support flight control and mechanical hydraulic systems and components for the 787. Translate airplane requirements to system/component requirements, lead design and validation testing, produce certification artifacts, resolve production and fleet issues, perform trade studies and simulations, and coordinate cross-functionally with suppliers, manufacturing, avionics, safety, and customers.

Designs and supports airplane manufacturing tools (jigs, fixtures, handling, test equipment). Performs structural/mechanical analysis, CAD/NC data prep, tooling layouts, producibility input, process improvements, and interfaces with manufacturing and customers to ensure tooling meets requirements.

The role involves optimizing manufacturing systems, analyzing workflow, and implementing data-driven solutions to enhance production efficiency and effectiveness in aerospace manufacturing.
