Headway seeks a Staff Fullstack Engineer to own end-to-end product work across frontend and backend. You’ll build practice management, patient/provider engagement, AI-enabled clinical systems, onboarding, growth tools, and platform foundations. The role requires technical leadership, cross-functional strategy, mentoring, and shipping scalable, reliable systems in a complex healthcare domain.

Build and architect LLM/ML-powered systems to evaluate clinical quality, detect risk in claims, match patients to providers, and ensure trustworthy AI. Lead technical foundations, mentor engineers, ship end-to-end product features across frontend and backend, and create evaluation and observability for safe, scalable healthcare ML.

Design and build reliable backend services powering clinical data, insurance billing, patient-facing infrastructure, and financial ledger systems. Scale high-integrity systems requiring idempotency, strong consistency, and pragmatic AI integration to automate provider workflows and enable personalized patient experiences.

Lead product strategy and execution for a product area at Headway, applying AI/LLM techniques to solve patient, provider, payer, and platform problems. Partner with engineering, design, data science, clinical, and ops, set success metrics, run experiments, and drive outcomes while representing customer needs in a regulated healthcare marketplace.

Lead end-to-end design of an AI-agent-powered provider onboarding experience to replace multi-page credentialing forms. Partner with PM and Eng to prototype with AI tools, conduct provider research, improve conversion, and contribute to the design system and team AI practices.

Lead cross-functional operational initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability. Scope and deliver end-to-end projects, build 0→1 workflows and playbooks, run root-cause analyses using data tools, and align stakeholders to drive measurable pod-level outcomes.

Lead architecture and delivery of scalable data infrastructure: design and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines, enterprise data models, and data quality frameworks. Define platform standards, mentor engineers, drive cross-functional initiatives, and partner with analytics, data science, and engineering stakeholders to ensure reliable, production-grade data assets.

Lead and scale patient-sourced growth across paid, lifecycle, and organic channels. Build martech, measurement, experimentation, and creative systems. Align patient and provider growth, hire and lead a large growth team, and partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Data, Finance, and Creative to drive repeatable, measurable acquisition and retention.

Lead and grow small engineering pods building provider-facing products that improve therapist workflows and scale provider acquisition. Partner cross-functionally to drive product outcomes, mentor engineers, remain a hands-on technical contributor, and shape how AI is used responsibly in clinical tools.

Run high-volume outbound outreach (phone, email, LinkedIn) to book intro meetings with care management leaders at health systems, qualify prospects, maintain contact lists, hand off leads with context to BD, and iterate on messaging and playbooks to grow Care Partnerships pipeline.
