Leads high-fidelity optical, electrical, and thermal simulations for III-V and silicon photonic integrated circuits. Models lasers, modulators, couplers, WDM devices, and hybrids; optimizes RF and optoelectronic performance; collaborates with the in-house foundry and device design teams; establishes process design rules; and performs DRC/LVS for accurate tapeouts. The role also automates analysis, evaluates modeled versus measured performance, and supports products from concept through manufacturing.

Perform coupled optical, electrical, thermal, and RF simulations; collaborate with in-house fabrication and device design teams; establish design rules; execute DRC/LVS and virtual DOE; and validate models against laboratory data. Support product development from concept through manufacturing while analyzing performance, reliability, and process impacts.

Lead high-fidelity modeling and simulation of III-V and silicon photonic integrated circuits, including lasers, modulators, and passive components. Optimize epitaxy and quantum-well designs, collaborate with foundry and device teams, establish design rules, perform DRC/LVS, and conduct virtual experiments. Validate models against laboratory data, analyze performance, troubleshoot discrepancies, and communicate technical trade-offs. Requires extensive photonics simulation experience and knowledge of semiconductor physics, fabrication, packaging, and fiber coupling.

Design, model, and simulate III-V lasers, modulators (EAM, MZM), and photodetectors for silicon photonics integration. Perform RF and optical simulations, impedance matching, layout support, DOE and validation testing, characterization, data analysis, and DFM for manufacturable designs.

Leads semiconductor process integration and technology transfer across customer foundry programs. Oversees prototyping, productization, yield ramps, cycle-time improvements, process module development, DOE, SPC, metrology correlation, defect analysis, and cleanroom problem solving. Manages customer technical relationships, revenue-focused engineering delivery, cross-functional execution, and a team responsible for talent development, resource allocation, and performance management.

Drive revenue growth for foundry services by acquiring customers, expanding existing accounts, managing sales pipelines, and closing complex semiconductor business. Lead opportunities from engagement and technical discussions through quotations, negotiations, purchase orders, kickoff, and account management. Coordinate with engineering, operations, finance, and executives to assess feasibility, scope programs, forecast revenue, and meet bookings objectives. Travel up to 30%, primarily within the United States.

Manage semiconductor customer accounts and development programs, coordinating sales, engineering, operations, foundry execution, third-party vendors, order fulfillment, revenue recognition, forecasts, materials tracking, and product delivery schedules. Support customer onboarding, quote generation, ERP transactions, MES updates, and issue escalation while maintaining strong customer communication and business outcomes.

Support development and sustainment of metrology for wafer fabrication: partner with engineering teams, analyze metrology data, maintain recipes and operating specs, troubleshoot tools, apply SPC, and train technicians in a cleanroom production environment.

Develop and execute integration plans for semiconductor and silicon photonics devices, correlate device outputs to factory metrics, analyze metrology, propose data-driven process improvements, and drive cross-functional teams to implement high-yield, production-ready processes in a cleanroom/manufacturing environment.

Lead technical strategy and execution for III-V and silicon photonics product development. Oversee simulation, design-for-manufacturability, process development, device characterization, and transition from R&D to high-volume manufacturing while partnering with executive leadership and customers.
