Supports ASME’s Strategic Communications department by developing, scheduling, and publishing social media content; writing copy; creating multimedia assets; monitoring audience engagement; responding to comments and messages; supporting campaigns; engaging engineering-community audiences; and providing live event coverage. The intern collaborates with content and video teams and works remotely for a six-month, 25–27-hour-per-week assignment.

Leads ASME Foundation fundraising strategy, annual giving, major gifts, corporate and foundation funding, planned giving, prospect research, donor stewardship, and pipeline development. Manages a $1.35 million annual fundraising target, supervises two coordinators, maintains Salesforce records, tracks KPIs, prepares proposals and donor briefings, and collaborates with leadership, volunteers, vendors, and cross-functional teams. The role is remote-eligible with periodic global business travel.

Leads employer and industry partnerships for apprenticeship, pre-apprenticeship, and work-based learning programs. Assesses workforce needs, aligns curricula and training plans with employer requirements, supports partnership agreements and employer onboarding, and maintains relationships with education, workforce, government, and industry organizations. Tracks engagement KPIs, contributes to grant reporting and funding proposals, promotes apprentice retention, and represents ASME in workforce development meetings. The role is remote-eligible with periodic business travel.

Supports ASME’s Government Relations team and Federal Fellows program by coordinating events, conducting policy research, assisting stakeholder outreach and advocacy initiatives, managing administrative activities, engaging Fellows and alumni, and supporting social media and newsletter communications. The role is a three-month hybrid internship requiring 20–25 hours per week and proximity to Washington, D.C.
