Lead procurement and contract management for major CAPEX projects at an industrial ironmaking facility. Develop sourcing strategies, manage RFQs and negotiations, procure equipment and construction services, oversee supplier performance, control costs, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance. Collaborate with engineering, construction, finance, legal, operations, and project management teams to support milestones, commissioning, budget, and schedule objectives.

Prepares and maintains mechanical, civil, structural, and piping drawings for DRI and integrated steel plant facilities, equipment, infrastructure, and expansion projects. Develop and manage the integrated master schedule for a large-scale steel plant project spanning engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Integrate contractor and vendor schedules, analyze critical paths and risks, track progress and variances, support recovery planning, maintain baselines and change control, and provide schedule reporting to project leadership. Coordinate with project controls, cost, procurement, and contractors while mentoring junior scheduling staff.

Designs and leads implementation of electrical power distribution, instrumentation, PLC, SCADA, DCS, and automation systems for mining, mineral processing, pelletization, and steel projects. Responsibilities include producing technical designs and documentation, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, evaluating vendors, supervising installation and commissioning, troubleshooting systems, ensuring NEC/NFPA/ISA/OSHA compliance, supporting safety and quality reviews, and mentoring junior engineers.

Develop and manage rail logistics strategy for inbound raw materials and outbound products supporting the Mesabi ISP Project. Coordinate Class I and short-line carriers, especially BNSF, while planning rail infrastructure, network capacity, fleet availability, rates, and service agreements. Align rail operations with plant, mine, port, barge, and supply chain activities; ensure FRA compliance; manage disruption planning; and prepare cost, capacity, and performance reports.

Supports the design, permitting, construction, commissioning, and operation of barge transportation infrastructure for a greenfield DRI and integrated steel plant. Develops marine logistics strategies, vessel scheduling, capacity plans, and material-handling requirements; coordinates with engineering teams, contractors, regulators, ports, and transportation providers; manages operational risks, compliance, performance metrics, and continuous improvement.

Leads development and operation of logistics for a greenfield DRI and integrated steel plant. Responsibilities include transportation strategy, rail, barge, truck and warehouse infrastructure, permitting, EPC coordination, contracts, budgets, commissioning, operational readiness, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement. The role builds and manages the logistics organization while coordinating with engineering, procurement, construction, regulators, transportation providers, and commercial stakeholders.
