Leads a portfolio of advanced solid-state laser and lidar/ladar development programs for defense and security applications. Oversees program managers, aligns resources and execution, manages customer relationships with government and DoD prime organizations, and ensures compliance within FAR/DFARS environments. Responsibilities also include proposal development, capture strategy, negotiations, technology roadmapping, and delivery oversight across complex electro-optical programs.

Leads and coordinates electrical engineering activities for advanced electromechanical systems, including precision motion control, embedded electronics, sensors, integration, testing, and production transition. Translates requirements into execution plans, coordinates multidisciplinary teams, manages technical risks, supports design reviews and customer discussions, and troubleshoots system-level issues through verification and qualification.

Supports manufacturing engineering, mechanical design improvements, tooling, assembly procedures, production transitions, and continuous process improvement for ruggedized electro-optical and laser systems. Operates shaker-table testing, analyzes vibration and shock data, investigates mechanical nonconformances, supports ERP-based manufacturing orders, and collaborates with engineering, quality, production, and program teams. The role also ensures manufacturability, environmental robustness, safety compliance, and production hardware reliability.

Performs ISSO and cybersecurity duties for classified information systems, including RMF documentation, security control assessments, continuous monitoring, audits, risk analysis, configuration management, incident response, and inspection preparation. The role requires an active Top Secret clearance with SCI access and CI polygraph eligibility, IAT Level II certification, Windows hardening knowledge, familiarity with cybersecurity tools and STIGs, occasional travel, after-hours support, and on-site work in Northridge or Tucson.

Develop and maintain interactive desktop and web GUI applications for mission management, data analysis, and visualization. Build front-end interfaces using Python, PyQt, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS; design prototypes; collaborate in Agile-like teams; and support applications across Windows and Linux. The role requires strong communication, multidisciplinary technical knowledge, onsite work, U.S. citizenship, and eligibility for TS/SCI access.

Develops and manages integrated project schedules for defense programs, coordinating program management, engineering, finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality teams. Performs critical path, schedule risk, variance, network logic, resource, and earned value analyses. Tracks deliverables, inventory, budgets, and program baselines; identifies corrective actions; integrates subcontractor schedules; and presents status and risks to senior leaders and customers. Provides scheduling guidance and training while ensuring compliance with program procedures and project control standards.

Design, build, and test electro-optic and robotic systems integrating hardware such as sensors, drones, lasers, lidar, communications equipment, and FPGAs with software. Develop embedded and real-time control solutions, write hardware-interface code, conduct field testing, optimize system performance, and support prototypes through production readiness. Collaborate across disciplines on computer vision, motion control, and real-time data acquisition projects.
