Designs and develops tooling, fixtures, jigs, gauges, cutting and forming tools, carts, and racks for manufacturing and experimental applications. Creates CAD models and documentation, evaluates tooling performance, determines specifications and testing plans, estimates costs and materials, and may manage sourcing or procurement. Collaborates with manufacturing personnel and works independently on complex tooling projects.

Develops and implements quality-control methods for solid rocket motor products and processes. Designs testing procedures and equipment, performs product testing, analyzes defects and trends, and recommends corrective actions. Establishes quality standards, audits production processes and suppliers, conducts root-cause analyses, and supports compliance with ISO 9001. Collaborates with design, production, product management, and supplier teams to mitigate quality risks and improve supplier performance.

Provides technical support to employees, assists with technical tasks and projects, sets up equipment, monitors tests and experiments, collects data, prepares reports, updates procedures, and resolves basic issues. The intern will learn technical processes, shadow experienced staff, and support tool and design activities while working in a safety-sensitive manufacturing environment.

Plans, designs, and improves manufacturing methods, facilities, equipment layouts, workflows, tooling, and production processes. Analyzes workforce utilization, space requirements, production times, staffing, and costs. Coordinates with vendors, evaluates products against quality standards, communicates manufacturing capabilities and schedules, and resolves technical issues to improve production efficiency.
