Designs, configures, tests, maintains, and starts up Emerson DeltaV distributed control systems for process-industry customers. Responsibilities include developing process control strategies, optimizing manufacturing operations, collecting customer data, conducting site acceptance testing and loop checks, troubleshooting field instrumentation, interpreting P&IDs, and documenting automation projects. The role requires frequent on-site work in the Boston area and collaboration with technical teams and customers.

Develops technical scopes, estimates, conceptual designs, and execution plans; advises customers and delivery teams; governs project risk, cost, and quality; supports sales targets and business development; provides training and technical mentorship. Requires extensive industrial automation, systems integration, manufacturing intelligence, and life sciences compliance experience, with regular New England customer travel.

Supervise IT/OT engineers delivering lifecycle services and projects, ensuring quality, cost, schedules, safety, and customer satisfaction. Manage staffing, forecasting, service calls, maintenance, proposals, resource scheduling, and customer consultations. Develop team competencies through coaching, career planning, and technical mentorship while collaborating with project management, sales, customer success, and account teams. Support strategic initiatives and maintain client relationships. The role requires significant on-site presence and 25–35% regional travel.

Design and specify instrumentation, control panels, electrical systems, and materials for industrial DCS and PLC projects. Perform startups, loop checks, commissioning, troubleshooting, FATs, vendor management, FEED support, proposals, estimates, walkdowns, and documentation. The role requires substantial field work and travel throughout New England, with responsibility for safety and quality across greenfield and brownfield installations.
