Performs electrical engineering and equipment design for complex EPC projects. Prepares calculations, specifications, requisitions, equipment lists, and load summaries; evaluates vendor submissions; reviews designs; coordinates with clients, vendors, construction teams, and other disciplines; and supports estimating, scheduling, field assignments, inspections, and plant start-ups. Provides technical guidance, staffing coordination, and supervision to electrical engineering personnel.

Owns cost control for medium to large EPC and alliance projects. Develops cost structures, tracks budgets and expenditures, maintains forecasts, performs variance and trend analysis, prepares monthly cost reports, and supports risk and change management. Coordinates cost reporting with scheduling, procurement, contracts, subcontracts, and finance teams. Provides project leadership support, oversees project controls activities, and mentors junior cost specialists. The role involves field assignments and travel across the Southern United States.

Independently performs mechanical design and thermal sizing for heat transfer equipment, including heat exchangers. Prepares calculations, equipment specifications, data sheets, requisitions, and design documentation; evaluates vendor bids and drawings; interprets ASME, TEMA, and API standards; collaborates with clients and engineering disciplines; reviews PFDs and P&IDs; and may provide technical guidance to junior personnel. Occasional plant or construction-site travel is required.

Supports routine process engineering assignments under close supervision. Duties include gathering plant operating data, performing basic process calculations, participating in process safety reviews and plant start-ups, preparing simple equipment and component designs, and writing technical reports. The role may involve occasional visits to operating plants or construction sites and requires a four-year Chemical Engineering degree.

Leads independent mechanical design for moderate-complexity EPC projects, including equipment calculations, specifications, datasheets, vendor bid reviews, priced equipment lists, staffing plans, estimates, schedules, and progress tracking. Provides technical and schedule guidance to engineering staff, participates in performance reviews, interprets ASME and API standards, and supports fixed and rotating equipment design. Occasional field visits to operating plants or construction sites are required.

Leads subcontracting activities for complex, high-value, or critical EPC and heavy industrial projects. Develops subcontracting plans, procedures, bidder lists, commercial terms, requests for quotations, bid evaluations, and project execution strategies. Negotiates agreements, prices, delivery terms, claims, and modifications; manages subcontractor performance, risk, cost, quality, safety, and schedule. Supervises subcontracting personnel, collaborates with engineering and construction teams, supports client presentations, and resolves escalated contractual matters.

Leads large, complex EPC capital projects from planning through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, budget, and contractual compliance. Manages client relationships, project staffing, engineering, procurement, construction, cost controls, risk mitigation, and executive reporting. Supervises project managers, engineers, and technical teams while supporting proposals, business development, regulatory engagement, and continuous improvement.

Performs electrical engineering and equipment design across project phases, including calculations, specifications, vendor evaluations, design reviews, load summaries, client communication, and field support. Provides technical guidance to junior personnel, monitors subcontracted services, supports plant startups and inspections, and ensures engineering deliverables meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements. Occasional plant, construction-site, and foreign travel may be required.

Leads process engineering for refining and chemical projects across multiple FEL stages. Designs process and plant facilities, develops process requirements, prepares equipment calculations and design bases, produces PFDs, equipment datasheets, P&IDs, and instrument specifications, communicates designs to clients and other disciplines, participates in process safety reviews, and coordinates or reviews the work of less experienced engineers.

Supports pulp and paper process engineering projects by developing process designs, equipment specifications, control features, operating manuals, and safety reviews. Collaborates with clients and multidisciplinary design teams, gathers plant data through field visits, and contributes to proposals. Requires extensive experience across material handling, recycled fibers, pulping, bleaching, papermaking, and power and recovery systems, with significant lead engineering experience on capital projects.
