Defines characterization targets, calibration and benchmarking priorities, and ML optimization metrics. Investigates coherence, noise, and gate-error mechanisms and translates findings into hardware and architecture decisions. Directs scientists and engineers across Palo Alto and Chicago while representing the company with customers, partners, government collaborators, investors, conference audiences, and technical candidates.
