Provide senior payroll tax expertise for a large Canadian payroll environment: lead year-end T4/T4A/RL-1 reporting, CRA/MRQ compliance, DAS/CPP/EI remittances, payroll-to-GL reconciliations, audits, regulatory engagements, risk remediation, and structured knowledge-transfer across Payroll, Finance, and Accounting.

Support domestic and international corporate tax compliance and reporting, prepare and review U.S. and international tax returns and provisions (ASC 740 / IAS 12), perform technical tax calculations (GILTI, FDII, CAMT, FTC, §861), identify tax planning opportunities, assist in transaction due diligence, and improve tax processes via automation and enhanced data management.

Provide frontline HR advice and case management for operational leaders and employees. Manage employee relations, absenteeism, conduct, performance and investigations. Coach leaders on policies and systems, support recurring people processes, partner with HR specialists, and identify process and capability improvements to support a safe, inclusive, high-performing workplace.

Subject-matter expert in Canadian payroll tax and statutory compliance responsible for remittances, reconciliations, year-end reporting (T4/T4A/RL-1), DAS validation, GL reconciliations, resolving payroll/finance variances, strengthening controls, and coaching the payroll team.
