Unpaid, part-time internship for currently enrolled students across academic disciplines. Interns assist City of Temple departmental teams with projects and services, receive mentorship, and gain professional experience related to their coursework. Potential departments include customer service, parks and recreation, finance, HR, legal, planning, library, museum, and marketing.

Develops and executes social media, marketing, advertising, and promotional efforts for the City of Temple. Creates content calendars, graphics, signage, flyers, website updates, photography, videography, and government access channel content. Collaborates with city departments to produce relevant communications, identify promotional stories, and maintain consistent messaging across channels. Supports the Marketing Manager and stays current with industry trends, technologies, and professional practices.

Manages public works capital improvement projects involving water, wastewater, streets, drainage, and rail infrastructure. Responsibilities include engineering oversight, contract administration, budgeting, construction inspection support, land development and floodplain plan review, infrastructure planning, regulatory compliance, public presentations, and supervision of inspectors and field crews.

Performs governmental accounting, auditing, reconciliations, financial reporting, budget and data analysis, and capital project oversight. Monitors revenues, billings, cost allocations, construction project accounts, fixed assets, and funding requirements. Prepares journal entries, financial statements, audit schedules, and reports in compliance with GASB, GAAP, and legal standards.

Coordinates digital learning content, training logistics, LMS records, employee orientations, vendor collaboration, engagement events, and training communications. Creates videos, presentations, guides, quizzes, registration forms, and training calendars; tracks attendance, completion, feedback, expenses, and compliance records. Supports live sessions, special projects, recruiting events, benefits fairs, and employee recognition activities. Requires an associate-level education or equivalent experience, two years of relevant experience, LMS familiarity, Microsoft Office skills, and a valid driver's license.
