Owns the data and systems layer supporting Account Management and Carrier Procurement. This role consolidates reporting, builds dashboards and data pipelines, automates manual workflows, integrates TMS and market-rate data, and improves carrier tendering and pricing processes. The analyst will create trusted sources of truth, develop reporting systems from scratch, manage data requests, and partner with business leaders to translate operational needs into scalable analytics and pricing solutions.

Owns the data and systems layer supporting Account Management and Carrier Procurement. Builds repeatable data pulls, pipelines, dashboards, reporting workflows, and automation across MercuryGate, DAT, Excel, and BI tools. Consolidates data sources, improves carrier tendering and pricing workflows, documents processes, and helps develop a truckload rating engine. Partners with business leaders to translate reporting needs into accurate, self-service systems.

Sources and develops carrier partners, negotiates contracts, supports RFP pricing, makes carrier routing decisions, and manages carrier relationships. The role also develops routing guides, resolves carrier-facing issues, improves procurement processes, supports automation, monitors market trends, and collaborates with internal teams to achieve account and customer success.

Manages a portfolio of key accounts as the primary customer contact, overseeing retention, growth, profitability, onboarding, business reviews, budgets, and service performance. Builds client relationships, analyzes transportation and market data, identifies expansion opportunities, resolves conflicts, and develops strategic solutions. Requires collaboration with sales, account management, accounting, and clients, with a focus on supply chain support and customer outcomes.

Leads the Chattanooga carrier procurement team, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, retention, and daily execution. Owns truckload capacity sourcing, carrier relationships, pricing, negotiations, coverage, margins, KPI performance, TMS discipline, and procurement growth. Partners with account management, sales, yield, and visibility teams while improving processes through automation and technology. Serves as the senior on-site office leader and drives a strong, accountable work culture.

Designs, builds, and maintains batch and streaming ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses, and lakehouses supporting analytics and reporting. Integrates databases, APIs, platforms, and event streams while ensuring data quality, observability, security, governance, and performance. Collaborates with analysts, data scientists, and software engineers to deliver reliable data products, and documents data flows and schemas. The role requires SQL, programming, data modeling, cloud data platforms, and pipeline orchestration experience, preferably in Azure.

Answer customer inquiries and support operations through order and invoice entry, validate LTL/TL shipments, obtain carrier pickup/delivery updates, communicate status via TMS/email/phone, and coordinate with operations to resolve delivery issues while maintaining high customer service standards.

Manage day-to-day transportation execution and serve as primary customer advocate for assigned accounts. Coordinate with shippers, receivers, carriers and internal teams, provide proactive shipment status and issue resolution, manage portals and TMS (MercuryGate), support billing/pricing and KPIs, lead service-recovery and after-hours exceptions, and maintain accurate customer and shipment records to retain and grow accounts.
