Provides executive-level administrative support to a Director, including complex schedule management, prioritization, communications, meeting preparation, minutes, action tracking, confidential information handling, special projects, cost-saving initiatives, and domestic and international travel coordination. The role requires independent judgment, cross-functional collaboration, discretion, and knowledge of administrative procedures. This is an onsite position in Batavia, Illinois, with an Associate's degree and at least eight years of administrative experience required.

Develop and apply AI and machine learning algorithms to particle physics research, experimental datasets, theoretical models, and laboratory operations. The role involves researching and refining solutions, providing analytics, and reporting project progress. This is typically a one-year onsite appointment at Fermilab with potential extension and advancement to an AI researcher staff position.

Supports financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, project accounting, and resource management systems, primarily Oracle PBCS and Oracle EBS. Analyzes business requirements, improves IT processes, coordinates projects and system testing, develops documentation and training, administers dashboards and reporting, and supports finance data governance and operational continuity.

Coordinates receipt, storage, inventory, and transportation of LBNF/DUNE materials to the SURF project site. Lead and manage QA program activities for the LBNF/DUNE construction project, including developing QA procedures, performing document reviews, managing corrective actions, conducting investigations and training, preparing reports for management and DOE, and ensuring compliance with DOE and regulatory requirements. May supervise staff and travel domestically (~15%).

Design, analyze, fabricate, install, test, and operate mechanical systems supporting particle accelerators. Serve as the primary machine engineer for the Main Injector and Recycler, coordinate upgrades and repairs, lead mechanical stress and thermal analyses, plan heavy-component lifting and rigging, oversee engineers and technicians, and support future accelerator projects. Responsibilities also include project engineering, procurement, fabrication, maintenance planning, safety compliance, and mentoring early-career staff.

Lead and execute complex mechanical engineering projects including design, specs, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning. Provide technical direction, perform calculations, manage budgets/schedules, supervise teams or subcontractors, ensure code and safety compliance, and represent projects at reviews and conferences.

Oversee electrical and IT construction contracts for LBNF/DUNE facilities, including power distribution up to 15 kV, fiber-optic communications, and networking infrastructure. Coordinate contractors, schedules, costs, change requests, RFIs, submittals, inspections, QA/QC, commissioning, and project documentation. Review drawings and installations for compliance, support earned value and project reporting, coordinate multidisciplinary stakeholders, and conduct field activities at an underground construction site.

The Accountant prepares financial statements, reports, accounting entries, reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close materials. The role processes transactions under GAAP, performs system queries and data pulls, identifies discrepancies, supports financial system testing, communicates with employees and vendors, and maintains accounting records and procedures. The position is onsite in Batavia and requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or business, or at least two years of accounting experience.

Design and implement electronics, firmware, and software for sensor readout and experimental control systems. Develop FPGA and microcontroller firmware for timing, synchronization, low-latency data acquisition, trigger decisions, error correction, and feedback control. Build hardware interfaces, plan delivery projects, document results, and collaborate with physicists, technicians, and engineers supporting scientific experiments, detectors, and accelerators.
