Performs legal research, drafts and edits pleadings, motions and trial documents, files orders, tracks discovery and payments, maintains attorney files and schedules, and interacts with police, witnesses, victims, and agencies to support prosecutors and public defenders in pretrial and trial preparation.

Provides advanced civil or criminal legal representation and supervision across various teams (Civil, Juvenile, Felony, Family, Public Defender/Counsel for Defense). Developmental internship for active-duty service members eligible for DoD SkillBridge. Participants receive supervised on-the-job training across Spokane County departments (Parks, Golf & Recreation and Medical Examiner), performing patrols, groundskeeping, visitor education, forensic support, autopsy assistance, report writing, and other entry- to intermediate-level tasks while gaining professional skills and mentorship.
