Lead SAP BASIS administrator responsible for managing a 30+ system SAP landscape (ABAP and JAVA), providing technical guidance, performance tuning, upgrades, DR/backup, capacity planning, client copies, UNIX scripting, and mentoring junior admins while coordinating with functional, development, and infrastructure teams.

Provide hands-on desktop support at the Iowa Veterans Home: troubleshoot hardware, image and install PCs, resolve tickets via desk-side and remote access, support applications/printers/connectivity, mentor junior staff, and deliver professional customer service. On-site presence and occasional after-hours availability required.

Mentor and coach support engineers, run weekly case reviews, oversee new-hire ramp-up, manage backlogs and idle cases, identify and escalate top recurring issues, enforce process and case ownership, perform hands-on case recovery, reduce repeat callers, interact with executive customers, and implement Microsoft-recommended architectural improvements.
