Defend Suffolk County, its agencies, employees, and officials in state-court civil tort and personal injury litigation. Manage complex cases, conduct legal research, draft pleadings, prepare and present motions and trials, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Maintain strong judgment, organization, and advocacy skills.

Represent Suffolk County in Family Court and Social Services matters, handling child abuse/neglect, juvenile delinquency, and child support cases; appear in court, draft pleadings, collaborate with CPS and county departments, and apply strong judgment and communication in a fast-paced public-service environment.

Maintain and reconcile complex accounting records, post and adjust entries, prepare financial statements, verify balances, analyze costs, assist budgeting, perform internal audits, support/implement accounting systems, and may supervise clerical staff.

Supervise design, construction, maintenance, and inspection of electrical power and control systems for county buildings and sewerage facilities. Review plans, specifications and bids; direct preventive maintenance, major repairs and contractor work; supervise engineering staff; diagnose and repair PLC-based control systems and modify ladder logic; prepare cost estimates, budgets, and technical reports; act as engineering consultant to other county departments.

Defend federal civil lawsuits against Suffolk County, representing agencies, departments, officials, and employees in federal court. Litigate complex civil rights and related claims, appear regularly in federal court, and perform legal research, drafting, and trial preparation. Requires strong advocacy, judgment, organization, and written/oral communication. NY State Bar admission and civil defense litigation experience required; trial experience preferred.
