Assists with designing, documenting, producing, installing, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting special effects equipment for theme park attractions. Supports project scope development, collaborates with internal and external teams, assists lead designers with creative and technical FX solutions, and contributes to operations training and post-turnover support.

Support Show Control Hardware engineers by preparing basic engineering designs and calculations under supervision and providing general engineering assistance. The intern will work with industrial control systems, control hardware, and PLCs in a test-and-adjust construction environment. Responsibilities include collaborating with technical teams and supporting Lead Engineers in bringing attraction show elements to life.

Supports mechanical engineering for Audio-Animatronic figures and show action equipment across concept design, modeling, analysis, production, testing, installation, and commissioning. Responsibilities include designing components, creating SolidWorks models and drawings, performing load and stress calculations, sizing motors and components, supporting production and testing, and documenting designs through engineering reports.

Supports mechanical design and hands-on production for special effects, animatronics, and show action equipment. Responsibilities include CAD design, design reviews, technical documentation, prototype fabrication, mechanical assembly, mock-ups, system integration, troubleshooting, quality issue resolution, and process improvement. The intern collaborates with engineering and quality control teams while working under supervision and maintaining strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail.

Supports mechanical engineering for audio-animatronic figures and show action equipment across concept design, production, testing, installation, and commissioning. Designs components, creates SolidWorks models and drawings, performs load, stress, motor, and component-sizing calculations, supports production and testing, and documents designs through engineering reports. The intern may work in design engineering, machine design, mechanical analysis, 3D modeling, 3D printing, manufacturing processes, and materials science.

Supports mechanical design and hands-on production for special effects, animatronics, and show action equipment. Responsibilities include CAD design reviews, technical documentation, prototype fabrication, mechanical and electrical assembly, mock-ups, integration, troubleshooting, quality issue resolution, and process improvement. The intern collaborates with Engineering and Quality Control while maintaining strong teamwork, communication, and attention to detail.

Supports Walt Disney Imagineering’s Creative Show Design & Delivery Studio by executing strategic initiatives, building dashboards, managing Snowflake databases and BI platform access, transforming data into reports, and supporting project work-plan tracking. The intern collaborates with business development, project management, engineering, design, planning, and production stakeholders to improve visibility, planning, performance tracking, and strategic decision-making.

Supports Walt Disney Imagineering show technical production projects by preparing facility input details, assisting project and show designers, and supporting mockup efforts. The intern collaborates with technical teams in a fast-paced environment, applies theatrical and entertainment industry standards, and uses AutoCAD while developing knowledge of technical theater, engineering practices, and show systems such as lighting, audio, video, construction, and rigging.

Supports mechanical engineering for theme park attractions from concept design through production, testing, installation, and commissioning. Performs mechanical design, surface modeling of organic shells and skins for audio-animatronic figures, tracks production floor changes, and develops knowledge of animatronic figure design. The intern may also work with 3D modeling, mechanical analysis, 3D printing, tooling, manufacturing processes, and material sciences.

Assists with designing, documenting, producing, installing, testing, adjusting, maintaining, and supporting turnover of special effects systems for Disney attractions. Collaborates with project teams, production staff, and coordinated teams from concept through close-out. Provides field installation support, maintenance and operations training assistance, and post-turnover support. Uses creative and technical methods involving optics, mechanics, materials, projection equipment, and SolidWorks.
