The role requires or supports a Secret clearance and DoD 8140 certification.

Provides network engineering support for moderately complex DoD contractor assignments. Designs, configures, deploys, monitors, and troubleshoots routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems, SD-WAN, and routing protocols including BGP and OSPF. Maintains technical documentation, supports cybersecurity compliance with NIST 800-171 and RMF, participates in audits, leads small projects, mentors junior staff, and travels to expeditionary client sites up to 25% of the time.

Leads complex network architecture, engineering, security, and deployment initiatives supporting DoD environments. Designs scalable networks, resolves advanced routing and security issues, ensures NIST and RMF compliance, and oversees risk mitigation. Provides technical leadership for projects, documentation, reporting, stakeholder engagement, mentoring, and training. The role also supports HAIPE/TACLANE and COMSEC equipment, DISA circuit provisioning, VMware networking, VoIP, deployable communications, and expeditionary operations, with travel up to 25%.

Manages government contracts throughout proposal support, negotiation, execution, performance monitoring, compliance, financial coordination, documentation, and closeout. Reviews RFPs and RFQs, supports teaming and confidentiality agreements, monitors contractor performance, resolves disputes and funding issues, maintains contract records, and submits government consent and notification packages. Requires knowledge of FAR and DFARS regulations and collaboration with proposal, procurement, finance, and program teams.

Conduct computer network defense assessments, vulnerability scans, cybersecurity compliance reviews, and RMF package development for IT and operational technology environments. Use ACAS, Nessus, and Lansweeper to identify deficiencies, recommend remediation, and continuously assess cybersecurity posture. Apply DoD, NIST, USMC, CNSSI 1253, and DISA STIG requirements; coordinate with ISSMs, system owners, vendors, and cybersecurity stakeholders. Support SCADA and ICS security evaluations, POA&M management, and emerging threat analysis.

Leads advanced mechanical and aerospace system design for defense and industrial applications. Oversees CAD modeling, manufacturing drawings, FEA, prototyping, testing, process development, and design optimization. Serves as a technical authority for multidisciplinary projects, mentors engineers, supports proposals and business growth, engages clients and vendors, and ensures compliance with DoD standards and safety requirements.
