Leads Salesforce Marketing Cloud strategy, marketing automation, donor lifecycle journeys, campaign execution, segmentation, personalization, analytics, and optimization for a university foundation. Partners with fundraising, communications, data, and technology teams to improve donor engagement and giving outcomes. Establishes platform governance, trains stakeholders, guides integrated campaigns, monitors deliverability and performance, and identifies opportunities to apply AI and emerging digital marketing practices. The Senior Director of Development will lead fundraising efforts for the WVU Medicine Heart & Vascular Institute, managing donor relations and engaging in major giving strategies while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Lead and grow a comprehensive planned giving program: identify, cultivate, and close planned gifts; manage marketing, stewardship, CRM records, advisor relationships, train staff, and travel to cultivate donors. Supervise a small planned giving team and set measurable goals for program growth.

Lead the Statler College major and principal gift program, manage a portfolio of donors ($50K+), supervise and mentor a development team, plan regional and national travel, coordinate strategy with college and foundation leaders, and oversee stewardship, reporting, and development operations.
