Own Matter’s brand, communications, content, social media, public relations, executive visibility, events, website, and cultural presence. Translate complex aerospace, AI, hardware, and sensing technology into compelling stories for engineers, investors, customers, journalists, and the broader technology ecosystem. Build the CEO’s public profile, generate earned media, support recruiting and fundraising narratives, and create momentum around technical milestones. The role requires exceptional writing, taste, technical fluency, creativity, speed, and high agency in an onsite San Francisco environment.

Supports the architecture, analysis, requirements, interfaces, verification, validation, integration, testing, anomaly resolution, and mission operations of airborne and spaceborne remote-sensing systems. The role involves hands-on work with hardware and software, technical documentation, system-level trade studies, test campaigns, and cross-functional coordination across optics, electrical, mechanical, thermal, avionics, software, AI&T, and operations teams.

The Flight Software Engineer will design, implement, and maintain flight software systems, ensuring reliability and performance under constrained environments. Responsibilities include collaborating with teams, debugging hardware/software interactions, and improving testing workflows.

The Data/ML Infrastructure Engineer builds and operates data infrastructures for processing drone and orbital sensing data, ensuring reliability, observability, and performance while collaborating with research and product teams.

Design, analyze, test, and integrate PCB and electronic subsystems for airborne and spaceborne sensing platforms. Own schematics, layout, component selection (Altium), run circuit simulation (Cadence PSpice), perform bring-up/debug, conduct validation and acceptance testing, ensure IPC-compliant manufacturability and reliability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for subsystem integration.

Work directly with the CEO to translate company priorities into actionable operating plans, drive cross-functional strategic initiatives, remove bottlenecks, build lightweight processes, support leadership/board materials, and own special projects to improve execution across engineering, commercial, finance, legal, and operations.
