Develop and integrate AI/ML capabilities into operational software, including large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and inference pipelines. Evaluate, test, document, and communicate AI system performance, reliability, design decisions, and technical contributions. Preferred experience includes secure development, DevSecOps, Kubernetes, OpenShift, CI/CD, containerized delivery, and classified or regulated environments.

Interprets P&IDs and electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics; supports industrial communications, control panels, VFDs, and motor controls. Applies process engineering principles, NEC, and NFPA standards while resolving complex technical issues across environmental, energy, recycling, and processing facilities.

Design, develop, and verify FPGA logic for Microchip PolarFire SoCs using VHDL, Verilog, and SystemVerilog. Create optimized IP cores, DSP blocks, custom peripherals, and high-speed interfaces. Integrate FPGA firmware with RISC-V processors, Linux, and RTOS environments, while collaborating on BSPs and kernel drivers. Build UVM-based RTL verification environments, testbenches, and constrained-random testing workflows to ensure design correctness and coverage.

Perform application-security engineering: run SAST/DAST scans, triage and remediate vulnerabilities, integrate Fortify/JFrog Xray/OWASP ZAP into CI/CD, support software-supply-chain/SCA efforts, and collaborate with developers to document and resolve security findings.

Design, develop, and debug embedded firmware for Linux and RTOS/bare-metal systems. Work with C/C++ (assembly optional), hardware communication protocols, debugging tools, and embedded build/integration workflows. Collaborate on CI/CD, FPGA integration, and custom Linux builds as needed.

Lead SCADA/ICS control system design, development, implementation, and technical support. Review designs, develop PLC/HMI applications, troubleshoot field issues, interpret P&IDs and schematics, and support on-site commissioning and project leadership for industrial automation projects.

Conduct weekly threat intelligence research and OSINT, synthesize multiple sources into source-cited, decision-ready briefings using AI-assisted tools, maintain knowledge of keystone advisories/frameworks, support GRC/compliance tasks, and attend onsite meetings in Cincinnati one day per week.

Develop and support modeling and simulation software in heterogeneous HPC environments. Provide user workflow and GUI support, troubleshoot Linux lab systems, apply SDLC practices, perform unit testing and configuration management, debug and maintain codebases, lead code reviews, mentor junior engineers/scientists, and design/deliver training for HPC users and staff.

Design, lead, and implement enterprise SD-WAN and WAN modernization projects across Cisco, Juniper, and Arista platforms. Create HLDs/LLDs, routing and segmentation designs (BGP, OSPF, IPSec, QoS), validate solutions, develop operational runbooks, and hand off to Network Operations while integrating SD-WAN with security architectures (SASE/SSE).
