Summer software development interns will work with an experienced team to create innovative and practical solutions for real-world national security requirements, including data processing and intelligence extraction. Interns should apply programming knowledge, learn new technologies, collaborate effectively, and communicate with team members while developing software solutions.

Develop front-end and full-stack software and web applications for national security missions. Translate user and analyst requirements into user-friendly systems, select appropriate architectures and technologies, use continuous integration, and collaborate with teammates and users through design documents and whiteboard sessions. The role requires TS/SCI clearance and involves technologies including Java, Python, JavaScript or TypeScript, Angular, React, REST services, containers, Kubernetes, and databases.

Conduct research and analysis on emerging cyber threats, network forensics, insider threats, and security operations. Correlate intelligence from diverse sources, identify vulnerabilities and atypical events, support detection strategies, write signatures, and develop dashboards and reports. Translate findings for classified environments, communicate recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and collaborate with analysts and developers to improve cybersecurity capabilities.

Analyzes and exploits digital networks in support of national security missions. Requires relevant experience in computer or information systems, programming, network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, forensics, information assurance, systems engineering, or network administration. Candidates must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with a full-scope polygraph and meet education and experience requirements for the applicable labor category.
