Supports and improves the quality management system for aerospace materials testing and calibration operations. Responsibilities include in-house and external equipment calibration, accreditation maintenance, QMS implementation, audits, proficiency testing, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and regulatory assessment support. The role collaborates with customers, accreditation bodies, aerospace primes, operational teams, and quality organizations to improve compliance, accuracy, laboratory processes, and quality assurance.

Leads complex engineering testing initiatives, technology development programs, and cross-disciplinary projects across Element laboratories and enterprise teams. Provides technical leadership, prioritizes testing opportunities, communicates complex concepts to varied audiences, disseminates testing knowledge, performs autonomous testing, and guides technicians and engineers. The role requires deep expertise in an engineering discipline, specialist knowledge, technology leadership, and at least 10 years of relevant post-degree experience.

The Sales Engineer reviews customer requirements, assesses testing feasibility, defines project scope, develops test plans and schedules, estimates resources, and creates pricing proposals. The role partners with laboratory operations and business development teams to deliver technical solutions, support customer opportunities, and drive revenue. Experience may involve environmental, dynamics, or EMI/EMC testing, with knowledge of aerospace and defense testing standards preferred.

Performs cryogenic and high-pressure system testing, validation, troubleshooting, and documentation. Develops P&IDs, procedures, engineering drawings, BOMs, system specifications, and user manuals. Selects sensors and instrumentation, supports test stand assembly, integrates control systems, and evaluates hydrogen and cryogenic prototypes. Collaborates with customers and cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical challenges and ensure reliable, accurate results.

Leads full lifecycle aerospace and spaceflight hardware programs involving precision cleaning, contamination control, quality compliance, and customer delivery. Manages schedules, scope, budgets, risks, technical requirements, audits, documentation, and cross-functional coordination across engineering, production, quality, laboratory, and logistics teams. Serves as the primary customer contact and supports quoting, contract changes, process validation, nonconformance resolution, and continuous improvement.

Supports laboratory operations by conducting routine and non-routine metallurgical and mechanical testing, applying approved standards and procedures, analyzing data, preparing technical reports, and assisting with evaluations and process improvements. Works under engineer and metallurgist guidance, manages testing priorities, communicates technical findings, and maintains data integrity. The role requires practical application of engineering principles, collaboration with laboratory teams, and the ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Manages and executes polymer and rubber materials projects, conducts material characterization and testing, and performs failure investigations. Supports client relationships, business development, and marketing activities across industries including automotive, medical devices, aerospace, and consumer products. May serve as an expert witness in insurance or litigation matters.

Manages administrative, accounting, purchasing, vendor, facilities, and office operations for a GMP-regulated testing laboratory. Supports accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, documentation, process improvement, stakeholder communication, and compliance with laboratory SOPs and FDA GMP requirements. Serves as a proactive administrative and operational partner to the General Manager.
