The Multimedia Journalist will create and report news stories, gather facts, and edit content for broadcast and digital platforms while working in a dynamic newsroom environment.

Maintain and troubleshoot studio, transmission, and post-production technical systems. Perform quality control on audio/video, support live events, implement engineering projects, and assist production staff with equipment and network issues, ensuring FCC and station standards.

Senior reporter responsible for pitching, shooting, writing, and editing daily stories as an MMJ. Produce monthly long-form/promotional pieces, create digital content, fill in as anchor (including 10 p.m. and an 8 p.m. KWQC+ update), respond to breaking news, and collaborate with digital and news teams.

Shoot and edit high-quality video for daily news and live broadcasts, operate cameras/lighting/audio, collaborate with reporters/producers, cover breaking news under tight deadlines, maintain equipment and technical standards, and work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Maintain, install, and repair studio and editing broadcast equipment; troubleshoot audio/video and IT systems; support news gathering; perform IT maintenance on computers, servers, and networks; assist with facilities (HVAC, electrical, security); work irregular hours and possibly on-call; lift up to 50 lbs.

Lead and shape evening newscasts (4,5,6,9,10 PM); coach producers; make editorial placement and breaking-news decisions; coordinate reporters in the field; drive digital engagement and station initiatives; oversee community-impact coverage.

Support and maintain studio, transmission, and post-production systems; perform audio/video quality control; troubleshoot, install, and repair broadcast and IT equipment (including transmitters); support live and on-air automation; collaborate with IT on network/security; assist production teams and handle emergency/breaking-news operations.

Manage and optimize high-volume paid search campaigns across Google, Microsoft, Meta, and YouTube. Conduct keyword research, bidding and audience optimization, run A/B tests, ensure tracking accuracy (tags/pixels/UTMs), monitor KPIs, and produce performance reports. Collaborate with account teams to translate insights into actionable recommendations in a fast-paced digital agency environment.

Produce and repurpose video and social content to grow audience engagement; edit platform-appropriate videos and graphics; develop social strategy and voice; monitor metrics and breaking news; coach on-air talent and collaborate with digital leadership.

Produce part-time weekend newscasts: prioritize and organize stories, write and edit copy, coordinate assignments, publish web and social content, research news, and meet tight deadlines under newsroom supervision.
