Own spacecraft structural analysis across the full hardware lifecycle, including finite element modeling, static and dynamic analyses, test planning, model correlation, coupled loads, and post-test data reduction. The role supports opto-mechanical payloads, supplier interactions, risk and cost tradeoffs, engineering standards, and validation activities. It also requires mentoring, occasional on-site travel for environmental testing, and collaboration in a fast-paced hybrid startup environment.

Leads enterprise software evaluations, SaaS selection, technical trade studies, vendor onboarding, and IT integrations. Manages software licenses, renewals, utilization, costs, and vendor escalations while optimizing procurement and intake processes. Strong Python and C++ experience is required, with preferred experience in numerical simulation, statistical analysis, Julia, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud deployment, Software-in-the-Loop simulation, and CI/CD.

Own mechanical architecture, design, documentation, qualification, and environmental testing for spacecraft components and mechanisms across multiple missions. Lead requirements, sizing, design reviews, vendor development, launch-vehicle integration, and configuration-controlled engineering releases. The role requires onsite work in San Jose three days weekly and expertise in high-reliability electromechanical hardware.

Lead the end-to-end technical execution of complex spacecraft missions from concept through on-orbit operations. Translate customer needs into requirements, manage traceability and verification, define mission concepts and subsystem budgets, lead design and readiness reviews, coordinate cross-functional engineering teams, mitigate risks, and monitor mission performance. Serve as the primary technical interface for customers and stakeholders while improving systems engineering processes and supporting other missions.
