Develop and improve MEMS and silicon photonics wafer fabrication processes for optical switches. Responsibilities include device and process design, wafer processing, process short loops, failure analysis, metrology, experimental protocols, and collaboration with vendors and foundries to scale processes from prototyping to production.

Design, simulate, and optimize MEMS structures for optical circuit switches, emphasizing performance, reliability, manufacturability, and yield. Collaborate with silicon photonics, mechanical, process, and foundry engineering teams to troubleshoot fabrication issues, analyze failure mechanisms, and support the product lifecycle from concept through high-volume manufacturing and qualification. Apply multiphysics modeling, mechanical stress and strain analysis, and design-for-reliability practices to develop robust nanoscale devices.

Design and optimize silicon photonic components and integrated circuits for MEMS-based optical switches. Lead device design, fabrication methodology, simulation, layout, foundry tape-outs, and component/system-level testing. Develop characterization experiments and collaborate with systems and fabrication teams to improve optical switch performance. Serve as a senior technical contributor across functions and communicate findings through presentations and written reports.

Design photonic components and integrated circuits for MEMS-based optical switches. Collaborate on chip design, fabrication methods, testing, and system-level characterization. Use photonic simulation tools and Python to develop and evaluate devices, execute experiments, support foundry tape-outs, and improve optical switch performance through cross-functional collaboration.

Lead cross-functional finance activities including month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, operational and supply-chain FP&A, vendor finance analysis, ERP/MES/PLM implementation support, process improvements, and rapid executive financial modeling to inform pricing, risk, and strategic investments.

Lead development and transfer of advanced wafer bonding processes (fusion, eutectic, hybrid, direct) across product development to volume manufacturing. Own process integration, foundry collaboration, NPI readiness, yield improvement, failure analysis, and process characterization to ensure manufacturability, reliability, and cost targets are met.

Lead foundry development programs from tape-in through wafer delivery, coordinate cross-functional tape-in readiness, manage NPI split lots and DOEs, review and simulate process flows and layouts, and liaise with foundry engineers to optimize manufacturability and data capture.

The role involves developing software for optical test automation, managing data pipelines, collaborating across teams, and enhancing testing efficiency for silicon photonics.

The Electrical Hardware Engineer will develop and validate electronic systems for an optical switching platform, focusing on hardware bring-up, debugging, and integration with MEMS technology.

Responsible for architecting and managing nEye's supply chain, including vendor engagement, materials planning, logistics, and systems implementation for a hardware company.
