The SMA Specialist serves as a subject matter expert supporting Franklin Templeton’s retail separately managed account business. Responsibilities include advising sales teams and financial advisors on SMA, direct indexing, and customized solutions; responding to complex product inquiries; supporting business development; coordinating with investment managers, distribution, and product teams; resolving client and operational issues; educating sales teams; maintaining CRM records; and traveling periodically for client engagements.

Supports the Chief of Staff and Co-President’s office by coordinating priorities, preparing executive briefings and meeting materials, tracking deliverables, managing follow-up, and improving workflows. Three-year term supporting quantitative multi-asset research: develop Python research and software for the MosaiQ platform, build predictive signals and risk models, create and maintain financial forecasts, collaborate with senior analysts and PMs, present recommendations, attend investment meetings, and manage project deliverables. On-site in Boston four days per week.

Manage Franklin Templeton Investment Solutions’ relationships with third-party evaluators and OCIO search consultants. Serve as the primary liaison, coordinate evaluations and due diligence, support DDQs and RFPs, maintain consultant databases, communicate investment insights, and gather market feedback. Partner with investment, product, risk, compliance, and legal teams to ensure accurate and compliant positioning. Build consultant engagement programs, support thought leadership, and strengthen the firm’s OCIO brand and pipeline.

Provide independent equity portfolio risk oversight by conducting in-depth risk analyses (style, sector, country, cap-size), translating quantitative outputs into clear insights, enhancing risk monitoring with advanced analytics and visualization, and leading Aladdin transition, model validation, and dashboard improvements.

Provide independent liquidity risk oversight for short-term investment strategies by conducting issuer, market, and credit sensitivity analysis; perform stress testing; translate quantitative outputs into concise insights for portfolio managers and executives; apply AI and visualization to improve risk monitoring; lead Aladdin transition including analytics validation and dashboard enhancements; monitor industry and regulatory developments (2a-7).

Lead sales strategy and execution for institutional liquidity in the U.S. western region. Build senior relationships with corporate treasurers, insurers, governments, and intermediaries. Drive growth of short-term, ultra-short, and tokenized liquidity solutions, manage full sales cycle, partner with product, distribution, digital assets, marketing, and client servicing to close complex institutional mandates.
