Provides software and systems engineering support for military test and training environments. Responsibilities include interpreting requirements, advising teams, designing and documenting software or systems, coding, participating in design reviews, conducting unit and integration testing, and supporting system maintenance. The role requires collaboration with customers, project managers, and technical teams in support of federal government contracts.

Provides technical leadership for engineering development, testing, integration, installation, operation, maintenance, and sustainment of software, electronic, and mechanical systems. Supervises engineers, defines test objectives, develops test plans and reports, analyzes data, manages schedules and funding, supports design reviews and proposals, interfaces with customers, and advises management. The role also addresses system sparing, obsolescence, lifecycle sustainment, and technology refresh planning.

Performs systems engineering for special projects involving systems integration, technical planning, operations, maintenance, lifecycle analysis, risk management, requirements, and acceptance testing. Configures and operates complex SATCOM equipment in test-range environments, develops engineering processes and technical documentation, supports proposals and design reviews, conducts site investigations, and coordinates with engineering, logistics, finance, program management, and customers.

Perform radar-related R&D and testing, analyze radar returns using Matlab/Python, apply radar signal processing (phased array, ISAR) and electromagnetic propagation knowledge, troubleshoot hardware/software, and provide engineering solutions in support of military test ranges.

Maintain and secure Windows server and workstation environments, administer LAN and networking hardware, manage document/configuration management systems, design/maintain web pages, track hardware inventories, perform system upgrades, and support cybersecurity posture and operational readiness under minimal supervision.

Senior software systems engineer responsible for high-level design and oversight of software, hardware, and firmware systems. Lead Agile development, ensure quality and security standards, mentor engineers, manage multiple projects, support procurement, perform technical reviews, generate performance reports, and integrate emerging technologies into defense test and training environments.

Supervise a cybersecurity section: manage staff schedules, performance, hiring recommendations, budgets, and act as POC. Develop and implement cybersecurity programs and controls, support China Lake range accreditation, collaborate with government counterparts, and perform occasional field work and travel. On-site at China Lake; U.S. citizenship required; active Secret clearance preferred.

The role involves managing enterprise computer systems, configuring LINUX and UNIX systems, maintaining virtualization environments, and ensuring system security compliance.

Serve as principal investigator and lead flight test engineer for complex test programs. Plan, conduct, and direct flight test execution as onboard Test Conductor, coordinate across engineering, maintenance, and aircrew, conduct briefings, analyze results, produce technical reports and proposals, and represent the company in customer meetings. Must obtain required medical and security clearances and perform occasional travel.

Administer and secure enterprise storage systems and SANs, manage OS security, backups, VMs and containers, support vulnerability management with ISSM/ISSO, maintain separate security domains, document procedures, and provide operational support for classified DoD test-range environments.
