The Sales Development Associate generates and qualifies inbound and outbound leads, researches prospects, identifies decision-makers, conducts daily prospecting calls, and schedules meetings for Account Executives. The role manages prospect data in Salesforce, supports lead-generation campaigns with Sales and Marketing, communicates KEV’s value proposition, follows up with prospects, and provides competitive and messaging feedback. Success is measured by qualified-lead quotas and appointment generation.

Manage the full sales cycle for the Lunchbox program, including outbound prospecting, pipeline development, sales forecasting, product demonstrations, consultative selling, and closing revenue opportunities across K-12 schools. Collaborate with internal teams to understand customer and technical needs, support scalable implementation, maintain CRM accuracy, and report weekly on sales activities and opportunities.

Lead reliability strategy across KEV’s production platforms by defining SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets; owning incident management and blameless postmortems; designing observability, monitoring, logging, and tracing systems; automating operational work; and leading capacity and performance engineering. The role also involves evaluating AI-assisted reliability tools, mentoring engineers, partnering with DevOps and product engineering teams, and communicating reliability trade-offs to stakeholders.

Lead DevOps and platform modernization across Azure, including infrastructure as code, containerization, orchestration, CI/CD, automation, security, and production reliability. Establish Terraform and Bicep standards, migrate workloads from VMs to PaaS and containers, improve GitHub Actions pipelines, and reduce operational toil. Support SRE practices, incident response, compliance obligations, and secure handling of financial data. Mentor engineers and collaborate with Engineering, Security, Database, Product, and Design teams.

Lead the architecture, development, and operation of secure, scalable payment systems. Responsibilities include payment pages, processor and gateway integrations, transaction authorization, capture, refunds, settlement, reconciliation, fraud prevention, observability, incident management, PCI DSS compliance, and API development. The role provides technical direction and mentorship to software engineers while collaborating with Product, Security, Infrastructure, Architecture, and external payment partners.

Lead KEV’s frontend architecture and technical strategy, designing scalable design systems and micro frontend patterns. Provide hands-on React expertise across state management, build tooling, testing, and performance. Guide architecture decisions, document trade-offs, mentor frontend engineers, evaluate AI coding tools, and partner with tech leads to align frontend delivery with broader platform goals.

Lead end-to-end product design for KEV’s ePay payments platform, from discovery, research, and concept validation through accessible interface design, implementation, and post-launch iteration. Simplify complex payment and disbursement workflows, conduct usability testing, create prototypes and specifications, contribute to the design system, and collaborate with product, engineering, security, compliance, customers, and leadership.

Own the full sales cycle for KEV’s School Cash Suite across Illinois, from prospecting and discovery through demos, negotiation, and close. Build pipeline through outbound outreach, events, and meetings; achieve sales quotas; maintain customer and stakeholder relationships; collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success; support onboarding; represent KEV at conferences; and maintain accurate CRM forecasts and activity records. Frequent travel throughout the assigned region is required.

Own functional, regression, exploratory, API, and end-to-end testing for a SaaS platform. Build and maintain Playwright and Selenium automation frameworks, validate REST APIs and backend data with Postman and SQL, integrate tests into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, analyze failures, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, Design, and DevOps teams in an Agile environment.

Provide escalation-level technical support for software, payments, accounting, and transactional data. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues using SQL and approved scripts, work with vendors, document resolutions, support high-impact customer issues, contribute to deployments and process improvements, and participate in on-call rotation. Coach frontline support and maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling financial data.
