Lead Adyen’s global in-person payments product strategy, overseeing hardware, software, payments, loyalty, and AI/ML initiatives. Build and scale a world-class product organization, align engineering and cross-functional partners, define measurable roadmaps, and engage strategic enterprise customers. The role requires executive-level product leadership, deep technical fluency, hardware-software experience, payments expertise, and experience delivering AI-powered products. Lead Adyen’s Personalize Intelligence team developing machine-learning systems for real-time Checkout optimization and AI products. Provide technical leadership on architecture, reliability, and scalable services; coach machine learning scientists and data engineers; define goals and product roadmaps with Product; collaborate across Design, Engineering, Data, and leadership; monitor system performance; foster an inclusive, high-performing culture; and recruit new team members.

Own the strategy, vision, priorities, and roadmap for Adyen’s data developer experience platform. Partner with platform and engineering teams to consolidate tools, improve developer autonomy and productivity, drive adoption, and support data and AI product delivery. Engage data engineers, machine learning scientists, AI engineers, analysts, product managers, and operational stakeholders to identify needs, make strategic trade-offs, and deliver scalable platform capabilities.

Own the vision, strategy, and execution of Adyen’s AI assistant for merchants. Define agentic capabilities, safety standards, and quality metrics; ship customer-facing functionality; enable product teams to contribute capabilities; and lead cross-functional collaboration across product, design, engineering, analytics, commercial, marketing, and legal. Use customer research and data to drive adoption, business impact, and simpler experiences across complex payment operations.

Design, productionize, and operate machine learning models and rule-based decision systems for credit underwriting. Build scalable pipelines for feature engineering, training, validation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement. Optimize model performance, collaborate with software, credit, product, risk, and data teams, and promote strong engineering and MLOps practices across production ML systems.

Negotiate complex commercial agreements for enterprise customers, advise global sales and commercial teams, manage early-stage disputes, interpret contracts, identify legal risks, develop negotiation playbooks, train commercial colleagues, and improve contracting processes through legal automation. The role requires autonomous, cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment and is based in New York with periodic travel to other offices.

Leads European customer insight and thought leadership initiatives, including customer advisory boards, merchant research communities, executive engagement, conference strategy, and industry representation. Translates customer feedback and payment-market developments into product, commercial, and market strategies. Acts as a public spokesperson, influences regulators and ecosystem partners, and collaborates with Marketing, PR, Communications, and senior stakeholders to amplify Adyen’s brand and merchant voice.
