Leads the VHA AI Education Hub’s instructional systems design program, directing end-to-end curriculum development, training delivery, needs assessments, quality assurance, accessibility compliance, and stakeholder coordination. Provides biomedical and clinical engineering support for the lifecycle management, evaluation, integration, acquisition, commissioning, troubleshooting, and sustainment of medical equipment and networked clinical systems across VA healthcare facilities. Leads end-to-end program management for the VA Office of Suicide Prevention’s Elevated Risk Care Management initiative. Coordinates VA clinical, policy, administrative, and IT stakeholders; manages plans, schedules, risks, reports, dashboards, milestones, and deliverables; monitors performance; recommends corrective actions; and prepares federal briefings, white papers, and Congressional reports. Serves as the liaison between the contractor team and VA leadership while supporting care-management integration across the VA healthcare system.

Runs Scrum ceremonies, coaches teams on Scrum and SAFe practices, removes impediments, supports planning, and tracks Agile metrics. Maintains program risk registers, analyzes cost, schedule, and performance risks, coordinates mitigation actions, and prepares risk reports and briefings for leadership and customers. Requires a bachelor’s degree, five years of relevant experience, Scrum Master experience, and ability to obtain a VA Public Trust background investigation.

Provides specialized expertise for SAMHSA’s 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline Awareness initiative. Evaluates communications strategies, research, audience segmentation, messaging, partner coordination, and campaign performance. Develops evidence-based recommendations, functional requirements, process improvements, and technology solutions while supporting federal compliance. Advises multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders on behavioral health, suicide prevention, substance use, public health communications, and priority-population engagement.

Serve as the senior AI advisor to the VHA National Artificial Intelligence Institute. Develop AI risk-management playbooks, governance guidance, risk stratification methods, enterprise AI strategies, training, and oversight materials. Advise AI use-case owners and government stakeholders, translate federal AI policy into actionable guidance, support health information and ModelOps initiatives, and research emerging AI governance practices. The role is remote, advisory, full-time, and contingent.
