Lead a team to operate, maintain, and improve RODI and wastewater treatment systems (RO, IX/DI, UF). Lead equipment sustaining and reliability for high-volume sputter media manufacturing: troubleshoot failures, drive RCA and preventive/predictive maintenance, implement upgrades and automation, monitor OEE/MTBF/MTTR, coordinate installations and vendor support, collaborate with process/yield/quality teams, document SOPs, and lead continuous improvement projects to improve uptime and productivity.

Lead maintenance, reliability, and improvement of sputtering equipment for HDD media. Manage installations, upgrades, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, preventive/predictive maintenance, and cross-functional projects to maximize equipment availability, yield, and OEE while mentoring engineering staff.

Lead mechanical design and development for precision testing and automation equipment: create detailed 3D/2D designs, BOMs, tolerance analyses, prototype, debug, perform FA/root cause analyses, collaborate with global teams, and support overseas ramp-up and production qualification.

Lead investigation of head-media HAMR laser-magnetic recording physics, design and run experiments (DOEs), perform data characterization and physical failure analysis, collaborate with design and HW/SW test teams, support cross-site DOE and FA, and demonstrate head-media capacity each quarter through detailed characterization.

Lead sputter process engineering activities: plan and coordinate sputter system startups/conversions, audit SPC and procedures, troubleshoot yield and quality issues, drive process improvement and qualification projects, and supervise/train technicians and junior engineers to meet utilization, yield, and quality goals.

Sustain and troubleshoot vacuum thin film deposition (PVD/IBD), characterize films (XRF, XRR, TEM, BH-Looper), analyze wafer probe data, perform wafer-level failure analysis, and transfer/qualify deposition processes into production.
