Drive technically complex AI research programs across model training, reasoning, evaluations, compute, infrastructure, safety, launch readiness, and governance. Translate evolving research priorities into actionable plans, navigate technical and operational tradeoffs, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, assess experimental results and evidence, and keep ambiguous initiatives moving. Own and improve Bazel- and Yocto-based build systems, Buildkite CI pipelines, automated testing, remote caching and execution, and developer tooling for consumer-device software. Responsibilities include optimizing build and queue performance, reducing flaky tests, operating Kubernetes and containerized infrastructure, instrumenting CI observability, debugging distributed failures, applying AI to failure analysis, partnering with engineering teams, and participating in on-call support.

Design and lead fairness and bias evaluations for AI-assisted People systems across hiring, performance, promotion, development, and workforce planning. Conduct algorithmic audits, subgroup and intersectional analyses, validation studies, counterfactual and generative AI testing, and human-AI workflow evaluations. Build scalable testing, monitoring, documentation, and reporting infrastructure. Partner with engineering, People, legal, privacy, and security stakeholders to recommend mitigations and communicate evidence, risks, limitations, and uncertainty to senior leaders.

Manage key federal civilian accounts and drive AI sales from pipeline generation through deployment. Develop account plans, lead complex deal strategies, achieve consumption revenue targets, forecast performance, and advise on federal market intelligence. Build executive relationships, coordinate cross-functional teams, support customer events, and contribute to federal team growth and culture.

Leads and scales OpenAI’s Applied AI Engineering team supporting startup customers. Defines the operating model, develops technical customer-facing engineers, advises startups on architecture and production deployment, partners with Sales and cross-functional teams, and turns recurring customer needs into repeatable playbooks, tooling, reference architectures, and deployment mechanisms. Serves as a senior escalation point while balancing customer impact, product priorities, platform strategy, safety, and team growth.

Lead and grow a team of AI Deployment Engineers to design, deploy, and scale secure, production-grade AI systems for enterprise customers. Own technical success across architecture, reliability, security, adoption, and expansion; act as senior technical escalation; partner cross-functionally to create reusable patterns, operating models, measurement, and product feedback loops while hiring and developing talent.

Own technical strategy and customer outcomes for a portfolio of enterprise accounts using OpenAI solutions. Lead AI discovery, architecture, evaluations, prototypes, workshops, deployment planning, adoption, and production readiness. Partner with executives, engineers, sales, product, research, security, and delivery teams to define use cases, roadmaps, governance, and measurable business impact. Serve as the primary technical advisor while coordinating specialists and translating customer insights into improved products and reusable practices.

Develop and execute partner marketing strategy for OpenAI’s AI hardware ecosystem. Identify and evaluate partners, build trusted relationships, lead joint launches and campaigns, create positioning and partner materials, and coordinate commercial programs across product, engineering, sales, legal, finance, communications, and design. Monitor partner performance and market feedback to improve programs and expand ecosystem impact.
