Leads deployment, implementation, commissioning, and continuous improvement of Wabtec’s Trip Optimizer solution across railroad customer accounts. Analyzes fleet performance, coordinates global engineering and customer teams, translates requirements into project plans, manages testing and issue resolution, develops training and documentation, and drives customer adoption, operational efficiency, reliability, and performance improvements.

Optimizes assembly and manufacturing processes for rail maintenance and overhaul programs. Designs process flows, work instructions, tools, fixtures, test rigs, and jigs; evaluates drawings and manufacturing methods; leads improvement projects; investigates production issues; analyzes standard times; and ensures commissioned equipment meets specifications. Responsibilities include managing schedules, contracts, risks, costs, margins, deliverables, customer relationships, and cross-functional teams without direct authority. The role coordinates engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, sales, and support functions; manages new product introduction processes; resolves production issues; and communicates project status to internal and external stakeholders. Up to 25% travel to North American sites is required.

Responsibilities include deriving requirements, integrating propulsion and auxiliary hardware, developing control functions, performing simulation and hardware-in-the-loop testing, validating locomotive systems, investigating defects, and supporting field and customer testing. The role collaborates with systems, software, hardware, and program teams to deliver reliable electric drivetrain solutions.

Leads mechanical design and development of locomotive cab structures and components. Responsibilities include concept development, structural and fatigue analysis, design reviews, verification and validation planning, risk mitigation, drawing and change management, manufacturing and supplier support, and cross-functional coordination. The role owns technical, safety, cost, reliability, and performance requirements while reviewing designs and managing multiple projects.

Leads the technical strategy, design, validation, and production implementation of high-power inverters, converters, battery-electric powertrains, and control systems for locomotive and mining applications. Responsibilities include system modeling, MATLAB/Simulink and HIL validation, requirements definition, troubleshooting, field issue resolution, technology evaluation, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring engineering teams. The role requires deep expertise in power electronics, controls, semiconductor technologies, and electrified transportation systems.

Leads new product industrialization from design release through production launch, ensuring manufacturing readiness, process validation, tooling, equipment, supplier preparation, and quality. Coordinates Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams while managing project timelines, budgets, and KPIs. Drives lean continuous improvement, root cause analysis, equipment reliability, preventive and predictive maintenance, safety, cost reduction, and production efficiency. Provides leadership and coaching in a machine shop environment.

Provides system-level technical guidance for onboard Positive Train Control products throughout requirements definition, safety assessment, development, testing, validation, and commissioning. Responsibilities include defining system requirements and interfaces, maintaining documentation and version control, participating in design reviews, verifying critical-function test criteria, supporting product interworking, resolving technical issues, and performing hands-on troubleshooting in laboratory and field environments. The role is based onsite in Contagem, Brazil, with occasional travel to locomotive builders and customer locations.

Provides technical leadership for mechanical design and validation testing of electromechanical railway products. Designs and oversees fabrication of test benches, conducts validation testing, prepares engineering documentation, supports prototypes and production, and performs mechanical analyses including FEA, tolerance stack-ups, and DFMEA. Collaborates with systems, quality, manufacturing, purchasing, suppliers, technicians, and customers while managing project schedules, costs, and technical issues. Travel to manufacturing sites and the United States may be required.
