Underwriting intern evaluates commercial auto insurance risks using driver quality, loss history, and business operations. The role identifies potential concerns, communicates issues to lead underwriters, and explains pricing decisions to agents. The internship provides foundational knowledge of insurance coverages, pricing, and commercial auto underwriting while developing detail orientation, accuracy, written communication, proofreading, and deadline-management skills.

Automate deployments, testing, and configuration; build CI/CD pipelines and self-service platforms; create reusable components and golden paths; guide teams on Azure infrastructure, ADO/GitHub SDLC, networking, DNS, and server operations to improve delivery speed and reliability.

Prepare daily deposits and outgoing checks, code and balance daily cash transactions, assist with electronic statutory filings, perform data entry and special financial projects, and support cash management while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and meeting daily deadlines.

Serve as a marketing and business development representative for agency operations in the assigned territory. Identify and visit prospective and existing agencies, provide product training and marketing support, analyze production vs. goals, resolve agent inquiries, manage marketing materials and outreach, and maintain product knowledge. Role requires frequent travel and P&C licensing.

Serve as the ServiceNow product owner: gather requirements, define user stories, prioritize the backlog, plan releases and sprints, guide Agile ceremonies, coordinate stakeholders, and support BA/QA in test planning to deliver platform functionality.

Serve as Product Owner for software delivery teams: gather and prioritize feature requests, define user stories, plan releases and sprints, support BA/QA in test planning, lead Agile ceremonies, and coordinate communication between stakeholders and delivery teams to drive product outcomes.

Serve as liaison between Finance and Technology to define, document, and validate requirements for financial close, statutory and GAAP reporting, intercompany/reinsurance workflows, reconciliations, controls, and audit support. Translate accounting needs into user stories, specs, test cases, and UAT; investigate data issues and partner with developers and QA to deliver auditable, compliant solutions.

Develop and validate daily data feeds, reports, and applications; vet other developers' work for data integrity; collaborate with business partners; participate in Agile ceremonies; identify and improve ETL performance; maintain clear documentation.
