The Production Automation & Controls Specialist will lead automation projects, commission new hardware, and improve production systems for SpaceX's Starship project.

As a Mechanical Engineer on the Starlink Mobile team, you'll design and analyze mechanical systems, collaborate across teams, and manage production processes to enhance satellite technology.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will develop manufacturing processes for PCBs, optimizing designs and equipment for high-volume production at SpaceX's Starlink facility.

Develop RF front-end modules for Starlink Mobile network, including design, simulation, fabrication, testing, and optimization of multi-chip modules containing RF components.

Develop and execute flight-like tests for rocket hardware, operate test-stand systems, analyze real-time and post-test data across fluid/structural/thermal/electrical systems, document results, drive root-cause analysis and improvements, and ensure safe test operations collaborating with design and production teams.

Design, deploy, and automate core infrastructure (on‑prem and cloud) and manage Kubernetes and Linux fleets. Collaborate with engineers to build scalable, operable services and improve lifecycle: testing, CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and performance.

Manage the RMF A&A lifecycle for SpaceX classified systems, ensure regulatory and contractual compliance, plan and coordinate audits/assessments, integrate new requirements, select automation/GRC tools, and act as the primary liaison to customers, government, and suppliers while mentoring cleared analysts.

Build and maintain pipelines for technical engineering roles by proactively sourcing passive candidates, leveraging sourcing tools (including AI), conducting initial outreach and phone screens, partnering with recruiters and hiring managers, tracking sourcing metrics, and representing SpaceX to prospective candidates.

Develop and optimize Wi‑Fi software for Starlink customer equipment: drive roadmap, debug and optimize kernel-level networking performance, improve mesh behavior, collaborate with RF/EE, build CI/test/deployment tools, and mentor engineers.

Develop and test software for SpaceX's Starship flight systems, ensuring reliability and integration with other engineering teams.
