Oversees cross-functional handoffs across software, product, operations, and hardware engineering teams. Work with planning, control, embedded layers, hardware interfaces, simulation, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and safety-critical verification in Linux and embedded environments.

Lead software assurance for autonomous driving systems by developing compliant processes, conducting ASPICE and ISO 26262 audits, managing deficiencies, analyzing root causes, tracking quality metrics, and presenting audit findings and process improvements. Collaborate across Safety, Engineering, Operations, and Product to ensure safety-critical software quality and standards conformance.

Develop real-time behavior-planning algorithms for autonomous vehicles, selecting safe and comfortable trajectories. Integrate motion planning with machine learning, build production-grade Aurora Driver software, and create metrics and testing workflows for algorithm iteration. The role requires strong Python or C++ programming experience in low-latency or real-time environments and experience productionizing motion-planning algorithms. GPU and machine-learning toolkit expertise is preferred.

Own Aurora’s internal SaaS and collaboration platforms architecturally, including roadmap, integrations, identity lifecycle, and platform governance. Build production software and automation in Python or TypeScript/JavaScript to eliminate recurring support work through APIs, workflows, self-service tools, and AI agents. Lead tool evaluations, rollouts, licensing strategy, and enterprise AI adoption while serving as an escalation point and partnering with IT, Security, Operations, and senior leadership.

Develop and optimize deep learning and machine learning perception models for autonomous vehicles. Address object detection, traffic-actor tracking, action recognition, and semantic scene understanding. Deploy production-ready software to real-time vehicle platforms, build scalable ML pipelines, analyze large datasets, and resolve failures through on-road and simulated testing. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver robust computer vision systems using 3D sensor data from LiDAR, Radar, and cameras.

Lead global strategic sourcing and procurement for indirect categories including SaaS, enterprise software, professional services, IT, and contingent workforce. Develop sourcing strategies, negotiate complex agreements, manage supplier relationships and risks, drive cost savings, and partner with Engineering, Finance, Legal, IT, and HR stakeholders. Improve procurement processes, compliance, reporting, and technology infrastructure while supporting Aurora’s growth.
