Develop and maintain SONiC system software for Arista switches using C, C++, and Python. Responsibilities include writing specifications, implementing C, C++, and Python solutions, creating automated tests, debugging routing and packet-forwarding issues, supporting customer network troubleshooting, collaborating with system test and support teams, mentoring engineers, reviewing code, and managing project schedules. The role requires strong software fundamentals and networking knowledge, particularly Ethernet switching, routing protocols, distributed systems, and hardware software libraries.

Develop low-level PCIe software for networking hardware, including link bring-up, parameter tuning, Linux PCI driver and virtual memory changes, error handling with AER and DPC, userspace hardware mediation, performance measurement, and automated testing in C, C++, and Python. Diagnose and resolve firmware and hardware-software integration issues while collaborating with hardware, diagnostics, and software teams.

Develop and maintain low-level CPU firmware, BIOS, and boot loader software for Arista products. Bring up and qualify new CPU boards, integrate vendor firmware, develop automated tests, troubleshoot firmware and system-test issues, track Linux kernel developments, contribute to open-source BIOS projects, and collaborate with hardware engineers, customers, and support teams. Provide technical leadership, own projects through deployment, review designs, and mentor junior engineers.

Develop and maintain Linux kernel features, tests, and infrastructure for Arista EOS. Track and integrate upstream kernel releases, contribute patches to the Linux community, qualify CPUs and NICs, troubleshoot customer and system-test issues, and optimize software for scalability and performance. The role includes project ownership, technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, customer interaction, and mentoring junior engineers.

Own sales strategy and revenue targets across 30–40 commercial accounts in Ontario. Build executive and customer relationships, develop account plans, sell complex networking and data center solutions, manage channel partnerships, collaborate with systems engineers and technology partners, conduct demand-generation events, and expand existing and new-logo business. Candidates must reside in the greater Toronto Area and have relevant networking or data center sales experience.

Provide pre- and post-sales technical leadership for financial services and trading customers. Gather requirements, identify opportunities, advise customers and partners, deliver technical presentations and training, support proofs of concept and onsite testing, conduct technical business reviews, research solutions, and create technical marketing materials. The role requires deep networking architecture expertise, strong communication and selling skills, and approximately 10% travel.

Manage 10–15 enterprise accounts across Ontario, exceeding sales targets through consultative selling of complex networking and data center solutions. Build executive and stakeholder relationships, develop account plans, generate demand, manage channel partnerships, collaborate with systems engineers and technology partners, and position Arista’s networking, cloud, automation, monitoring, and security solutions. Candidates must reside in the Greater Toronto Area and have relevant complex networking sales experience.
