Lead architecture, implementation, and operation of a highly available, fault-tolerant payments and billing platform across AWS and GCP. Build shared platform layers, scalable services, and features for streaming, APIs, notifications, and batch workloads while coding approximately 80% of the time. Provide technical leadership, conduct design and code reviews, guide cross-team architecture, adopt AI-assisted coding tools, and drive CI/CD automation, platform reuse, and engineering excellence.

Design, build, and operate Roku's cloud-agnostic platform and service mesh at scale using Kubernetes, Istio/Envoy, Terraform, and automation. Improve CI/CD, observability, cost optimization, security integration, and onboarding while mentoring teammates and collaborating across regions.

Design and implement intelligent test analysis systems using AI to identify quality gaps, predict failures, and optimize test effectiveness. Build systems for test data collection, regression tracking, automated failure analysis, and root-cause identification. Develop architectural patterns for scalable, maintainable testing, and leverage autonomous testing agents and CI tooling to prevent regressions and improve production reliability.

Lead a team of ML engineers in developing recommendation systems, driving technical direction, mentoring, and delivering impactful ML solutions for user engagement and revenue growth.

Manage Roku advertising accounts from pre-sale through post-sale, owning campaign execution, performance, client satisfaction, renewals, revenue retention, and account growth. Develop strategic account plans, identify upsell opportunities, optimize programmatic video campaigns, troubleshoot delivery issues, present performance insights, and lead client communications. Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Ad Operations, Finance, and other teams while mentoring Account Coordinators and contributing to process and product improvements.

Design, build, operate, and scale Roku’s high-throughput, low-latency ad-serving and demand-bidding platform. Own distributed-system features end to end, collaborate with product and applied science teams, troubleshoot concurrent multi-region production issues, improve tooling and architecture, and uphold engineering, testing, and operational best practices. Apply Java, concurrency, performance optimization, cloud infrastructure, caching, messaging, streaming, and SQL/NoSQL technologies.
