Build RAG chatbot solutions, optimize distributed systems, write tests, support CI/CD, improve delivery processes, and deploy customer-facing features. Collaborate with UX, engineering, DevOps, QA, and product teams while solving complex reliability and performance challenges. The role requires modern web development, cloud platforms, AI-assisted engineering workflows, and strong software architecture practices.

Build and lead backend microservices and large-scale platform services for millions of devices. Collaborate with Product and Design, drive technical design and best practices, participate in Agile delivery, evaluate new technologies, and support production deployments and maintenance.

Design, build, and maintain large-scale backend and data platform systems including low-latency streaming and batch data pipelines, microservices-based event-driven services, and ETL/workflow orchestration. Influence architecture and product roadmap, collaborate with product and consumer teams, and take ownership of projects impacting millions of users.

Lead machine learning strategy and architecture for Roku’s Content Platform. Build and deploy scalable ML products using generative AI and vision models to improve content quality, discovery, and engagement. Guide MLOps infrastructure, bridge AI research with production delivery, partner with Product, Engineering, and Content Strategy, and balance long-term innovation with incremental releases and measurable business outcomes.

Design, build, and scale distributed machine learning platform services for Roku’s personalized recommendations. Develop feature stores, real-time inference systems, vector databases, APIs, and platform infrastructure serving millions of transactions per second. Run online A/B tests, monitor system and business metrics, optimize recommendation performance, collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, and mentor team members on platform engineering practices.

Partner with Ad Sales to design and present CTV advertising strategies using Roku ad products, programmatic and measurement solutions. Drive revenue adoption, collaborate cross-functionally with product, measurement, and account teams, and develop client-specific campaigns to meet brand and performance objectives.

Design and implement core Roku platform UI features and SDK components for embedded devices. Integrate third-party C++ libraries, collaborate with product and platform teams, diagnose and resolve platform issues, and optimize performance on Embedded Linux with attention to API design, memory management, and multithreaded development.
