KLA is seeking a staff-level principal optical engineer to serve as an optical architect/lead optical engineer in the photomask inspection division. Responsibilities include designing ultra-high precision optical systems, optical alignment methodology, analysis of optical modules, and leading the design of a custom metrology system. Collaboration with engineering groups to define performance criteria and system specifications is essential.

Drive controller tuning and qualification for a precision, multi-axis stage on a highly-complex reticle inspection tool. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to define plans for system-level testing and debugging. Generate documentation for design reviews and product release.

Lead and develop the Electron Optics team covering optics, detectors, sources, and simulations. Provide vision and leadership in N+2 related activities in the EBeam division at KLA. Report directly to the Director of HW of engineering and make roadmap strategies and technology decisions.
