Lead mechanical engineering projects from proposal through customer buy-off, managing scope, schedule, budget, suppliers, changes, risks, and technical interfaces while ensuring safety, quality, and installation readiness.

Design and draft electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems for industrial machinery. Create control system diagrams, electrical schematics, panel layouts, bills of materials, and develop PLC and HMI programs. Interface with manufacturing for design and implementation and perform HMI debugging/commissioning. Travel ~25%.

Plan and maintain project timelines and tracking matrices, create WBS-based schedules, run weekly status meetings, produce reports for management and project teams, ensure timeline updates across departments, and drive initiatives to improve project execution efficiency.

Develop and commission robot application software; provide technical proposal support; perform software commissioning, robot simulation and virtual commissioning; support new device applications and robot vision integration for automotive powertrain/EV systems.

Develop and customize application-specific PLC ladder logic and HMI software, design software structure, and perform commissioning per CTL/PM project requirements and timelines. Ensure control system electrical design and motion control integration (inverters/servos); work with powertrain/EV systems and standard tools like TIA Portal, Siemens SiCar, and Ignition.

Develop manufacturing processes and automation solutions for new systems. Collaborate with sales, project management, engineering, commissioning, and estimating to create competitive technical proposals. Create system layouts and process flows using CAD and support proposal development for powertrain, electrification, and battery assembly projects.

Lead mechanical technical activities across project lifecycle: estimate costs, plan and staff technical tasks, coordinate internal/external teams, ensure standards and customer requirements, support assembly/commissioning/installation, interface with customers, and drive process improvements and documentation.

Lead mechanical design technical activities for body welding projects: interface with customer/suppliers, design layouts and fixtures, estimate hours, supervise team and suppliers, provide on-site technical support, and ensure process feasibility and cost-saving solutions.

Lead development of assembly line control system concepts, functional specifications, PLC/HMI programs, and on-site commissioning. Provide debugging, troubleshooting, motion control design, protocol integration, technical support, and project management while maintaining customer relationships. Bilingual Mandarin/English required.

Manage project planning for controls engineering: estimate proposals, plan manpower and costs, ensure standards and customer compliance, monitor KPIs, workloads, budgets, and timelines, populate global capacity tools, coordinate across functions/countries, and guide outsourced design processes.
