Leads WPSU’s comprehensive advancement program, including major gifts, planned giving, grants, membership, annual giving, and corporate sponsorship. Builds donor, foundation, corporate, and community relationships; recruits and manages a new advancement team; establishes fundraising infrastructure, goals, metrics, and processes; and collaborates with WHYY and internal teams to support regional public media. Requires travel throughout Northern and Central Pennsylvania and attendance at occasional evening or weekend events.

Provides technical support and maintains IT infrastructure, including computers, devices, software, networks, servers, cloud services, storage, audiovisual systems, and collaboration platforms. Installs and troubleshoots systems, manages user access and technology records, supports meetings and productions, coordinates with vendors, monitors performance, maintains security compliance, and provides on-call support when needed.

Produces and coordinates integrated FM membership and fundraising campaigns across radio, television, and digital platforms. Develops campaign strategies, roadmaps, messaging, scripts, live and prerecorded content, talent plans, and production logistics. Coordinates cross-functional teams, technical crews, community partners, sponsors, and digital extensions. Monitors campaign performance, makes real-time adjustments, and conducts post-campaign analysis to improve future drives. Requires flexibility for early mornings, evenings, and weekends during campaigns.

Produce, write, edit and publish timely multimedia news content for web, radio and social platforms. Optimize stories for audience engagement, manage feeds and app alerts, create audio/video/photo/text packages on tight deadlines, support newsletters and partner sharing, and work nights/weekends as newsroom scheduling requires.

Manages a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects through identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Develops personalized engagement and fundraising strategies, conducts donor meetings, prepares proposals, maintains CRM records, tracks fundraising results, collaborates with leadership and development teams, and represents WPSU at donor and community events while following ethical fundraising practices.

Develops and manages business, nonprofit, and community underwriting relationships to generate sponsorship revenue. Responsibilities include prospecting, client meetings, proposal and package development, negotiating agreements, renewals, account stewardship, and coordinating fulfillment across broadcast, digital, television, and events. The role also tracks pipeline and revenue activity in CRM systems, supports FCC-compliant underwriting copy, prepares reports, and represents the station at community and networking events.

Supports fundraising operations through donation, pledge, recurring gift, matching gift, and event revenue processing. Maintains the Revolution CRM, manages data imports and exports, performs constituent record updates, resolves exceptions, and conducts data cleanup and deduplication. Provides additional fundraising systems and operations support during busy pledge drive and year-end periods.

Lead and supervise reporters and editors to produce daily and breaking news across audio, video and digital platforms. Assign and edit stories, fact-check, plan special coverage, train staff, conduct performance reviews, coordinate cross-team content, and be available for nights and weekends as needed.

Manage a portfolio of ~150 donors to qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gifts ($5,000+). Create individualized engagement plans, develop donor proposals with colleagues, track interactions in CRM, produce monthly reports, attend events and community engagements, and support fundraising strategies and special projects.

Serve as the primary finance partner for WPSU, leading budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, financial analysis, modeling, and operational decision support. Support WPSU’s integration into WHYY systems, improve reporting and financial processes, monitor cash flow and compliance, and evaluate capital projects. Over time, support due diligence, integration planning, and financial stabilization for future public media acquisitions and strategic partnerships.
