As a Staff Software Engineer, you will design architecture and software features for Waymo's simulation product, improve driving realism, ensure scalability and reliability, and mentor senior engineers. You will work on backend systems and collaborate with front-end teams to meet the needs of internal customers.

The Physical Design Lead at Waymo will drive custom silicon partnerships, ensure implementation meets performance and schedule goals, and manage a team of design experts. Responsibilities include collaborating with partners on PD flows, reviewing final sign-off for tape-out, and escalating program risks while leveraging extensive experience in physical design of complex SoCs or ASICs.

The Motion Systems Engineer will manage requirements for braking, steering, and propulsion of motion control actuators, lead architecture discussions, contribute to hardware and software design reviews, and coordinate motion control actuator integration. They will investigate issues and validate actuators for driver-less operation through testing and analyses.
