The Senior Software Engineer II will enhance operational excellence by designing automated reliability systems, incident management tooling, and observability infrastructure while mentoring teams and implementing AI-driven solutions.

Own product vision, strategy, and roadmap for fleet cost and energy optimization. Translate telematics and operational data into customer-facing products, run deep discovery, prototype MVPs, ship end-to-end with cross-functional teams, define success metrics, and iterate based on data and customer feedback.

The Account Executive will drive revenue by managing enterprise accounts, fostering relationships, and navigating complex sales cycles. You will prospect, close deals, and work with various stakeholders to promote Samsara's cloud solutions.

Lead design and build of ETL pipelines and Gold Layer tables in Databricks; develop semantic layers, data dictionaries, and AI-ready documentation; create dashboards and ad-hoc analyses to surface marketing and sales KPIs; partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into analytics-ready datasets and enable self-serve BI and agentic AI workflows.

Build and evolve core backend systems that review AI safety detections, identify ambiguous cases, automate triage, and close model feedback loops. Partner with product, design, and ML teams to own projects end-to-end, improve detection precision, and raise quality, operability, and engineering clarity across Samsara's Safety platform.

Oversee and manage customer hardware installations and vendor partners for complex vehicle telematics projects. Provide onsite oversight, troubleshooting, training, risk mitigation, SOW alignment, and continuous improvement to ensure quality, adoption, and customer satisfaction.

Design and maintain ETL pipelines and Databricks Gold-layer tables; develop semantic layers, data dictionaries, and documentation for AI-driven BI; build dashboards and analyses to surface marketing and sales KPIs; perform ad-hoc deep dives; translate stakeholder requirements into scalable, analytics-ready data models; enable self-serve reporting and agentic AI workflows.

Build and operate backend-first, distributed platform services powering APIs, integrations, eventing, and analytical data systems to enable AI agents and enterprise-scale agentic workflows. Design for high throughput, reliability, security, and observability; apply AI-assisted engineering tools; mentor engineers and influence architecture, tooling, and developer experience.

Sell Samsara IoT solutions to mid-market Canadian customers ($20k–$100k deals). Manage full sales cycle including prospecting, POCs, trials, multi-stakeholder negotiations, pricing, and executive-level selling to achieve quota.

Lead Samsara Mexico communications with a 360° strategy across external media, internal comms, and talent brand. Serve as primary media contact, develop localized storylines, manage executive visibility, support customer storytelling, run crisis comms, manage agencies, and measure program impact in coordination with marketing, legal, and global comms.
