The Senior Platform Engineer will own the software development lifecycle, improve platform performance, and ensure alignment with engineering needs, particularly in AI tools and data processing.

Own and expand a portfolio of major enterprise accounts by prospecting within existing customers, identifying new plants, business units, stakeholders, and use cases. The role may expand into revenue or broader operations.

Architects and deploys production-ready manufacturing inspection solutions for customer production lines. Partners with engineering, manufacturing, operations, sales, product, hardware, software, and customer success teams to define station placement, imaging, fixtures, optics, lighting, and integration requirements. Leads technical customer engagements and balances throughput, cycle time, ergonomics, cost, manufacturability, and inspection coverage. Uses manufacturing data to improve visibility, yield, and production decision-making.

Operate, improve, and scale an AWS-based SaaS platform through production operations and engineering. Responsibilities include infrastructure automation, CI/CD, observability, incident response, root cause analysis, on-call support, reliability improvements, and reducing operational toil. The role partners with software engineers to improve scalability, security, operational workflows, and production readiness.

Deploy and integrate Instrumental hardware and software at customer electronics factories, train and tune algorithms, build stakeholder relationships, and drive rapid on-site value delivery and mission success through hands-on engineering and troubleshooting.

Design, deploy, and operate a high-performance SaaS manufacturing platform on cloud infrastructure. Ensure scalability, reliability, automation, monitoring, and KPIs. Integrate AI into dev/ops workflows, lead impactful projects, and improve uptime, latency, and efficiency. Work cross-functionally in a fast-paced startup while meeting U.S. government data access citizenship requirements.

Own full-cycle recruiting for the company’s hardest technical and business roles. Partner with founders and hiring managers to improve hiring standards, source passive candidates, close difficult searches, iterate recruiting strategy rapidly, and build scalable processes and tools for the recruiting function.

Lead end-to-end delivery for strategic manufacturing accounts in Taiwan, integrating and optimizing Instrumental's hardware and software on factory floors. Build stakeholder relationships, coordinate cross-functional global teams, tune algorithms, and drive program success through on-site deployments and continuous operational improvements.

Lead technical scoping, design, and deployment of Instrumental stations for electronics manufacturing. Validate technical requirements with sales, design optics and mechanical nests, work across engineering/operations/quality, and mentor project teams to ensure solutions meet customer business goals and production requirements.
