Manage multiple customer engagements, advise stakeholders, communicate technical plans, and collaborate with Professional Services, Product, and Engineering teams.

Build and evolve backend features for GitLab’s work items platform using Ruby on Rails, GraphQL, REST APIs, and real-time subscriptions. Optimize PostgreSQL at scale, improve test infrastructure, create safe feature rollouts, troubleshoot production issues, and enhance observability. Collaborate with Product and engineers to shape requirements, mentor contributors, support open-source development, and develop AI-powered capabilities where appropriate.

Lead complex, cross-functional Enterprise Technology and AI programs from planning through delivery. Develop roadmaps, resource plans, success metrics, governance frameworks, and status reporting. Align technical and business stakeholders, manage dependencies and risks, resolve blockers, and translate requirements into actionable plans. Own complex technical initiatives end to end, lead system design, collaborate across engineering and customer-facing teams, mentor engineers, improve development practices, respond to incidents, participate in on-call duties, and implement operational improvements for production systems.

Own the function’s AI transformation strategy, prioritize high-impact opportunities, map workflows, and drive measurable adoption. Build and manage AI agents using no-code and low-code tools, configure skills and MCP connections, evaluate agent performance, and iterate solutions. Lead change management, champion networks, cross-functional collaboration, intake processes, and alignment with Enterprise AI and executive stakeholders.

Build and deploy internal AI-powered solutions across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support. Diagnose workflows, identify bottlenecks, determine whether AI is appropriate, and own initiatives from discovery through deployment. Develop integrations, prototypes, agentic architectures, prompts, guardrails, and evaluation frameworks while measuring business, flow, adoption, and ROI outcomes. Partner with stakeholders, assess AI tools and models, document reusable patterns, and advance GitLab’s AI-first transformation in a remote environment.

Build and maintain secure, scalable Flow Registry features for GitLab’s agentic platform using Python, LangChain, and LangGraph. Design GraphQL and REST APIs, improve automated testing, optimize PostgreSQL-backed applications, and collaborate across backend, frontend, product, UX, and AI teams. Participate in Tier 2 on-call support, troubleshoot production issues, improve observability, and contribute to responsible AI integration in GitLab’s remote, asynchronous environment.

Build and deploy AI-powered solutions across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support. Diagnose workflows, identify constraints, evaluate whether AI is appropriate, and own initiatives from discovery through deployment. Develop LLM applications using prompt engineering, RAG, agentic architectures, orchestration, guardrails, and enterprise integrations. Measure business value through flow metrics, adoption, ROI, and feedback loops while partnering with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Lead GitLab’s Build team and roadmap, overseeing systems that convert source code into secure, verified, distributable artifacts. Own build platforms, dependency management, CI templates, supply-chain security, build consistency, observability, and self-service onboarding across delivery targets including Omnibus and CNG. Partner across teams to improve reliability, reduce coordination overhead, and support four-nines service objectives. Manage a distributed, high-performing engineering team and guide architecture, technical strategy, operational excellence, and complex project delivery.
