Build software tools for the New Product Introduction and Change Management team, including hardware-change visualizations, configuration compatibility analysis, and engineering-change submission interfaces. The role requires gathering requirements, translating complex product dependencies into workflows and dashboards, validating data, documenting technical outputs, and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders. This is a full-time, in-person internship in South San Francisco from January through April 2027.

Responsibilities include story construction, pacing, dialogue and sound editing, color correction, motion-graphics integration, versioning, captions, technical quality control, media organization, and delivery. Translate technical concepts and creative briefs into storyboards, style frames, animatics, and polished 2D/3D animation. Owns end-to-end logistics operations in Nigeria, including international freight, customs clearance, inland transportation, warehousing, inventory control, and delivery to operational sites. The role manages logistics partners, develops shipment plans and SOPs, monitors KPIs, resolves risks, and provides recommendations to leadership. It requires extensive experience in complex Nigerian or comparable logistics environments, strong analytical and stakeholder-management skills, and the ability to operate independently.

Design and maintain C++ firmware for aircraft microcontrollers and embedded Linux systems. Develop communication interfaces, reusable platform components, real-time scheduling, fault handling, recovery, monitoring, and troubleshooting capabilities. Build Rust-based tooling and software-in-the-loop simulations to validate firmware. Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, embedded Linux, and systems engineers to deliver safe, reliable software for globally deployed autonomous aircraft.

Build and operate scalable infrastructure for Zipline’s machine learning lifecycle, including data ingestion, dataset management, training, evaluation, monitoring, and deployment. Improve reproducibility, observability, orchestration, and performance across autonomy-focused ML workflows. The role requires production software engineering in Python, cloud and on-premise infrastructure experience, Kubernetes, ML frameworks, and strong ownership of secure, mission-critical systems.

Own the electric propulsion modeling roadmap for motors, inverters, gearboxes, and propellers. Develop, validate, and deploy physics-based models across aircraft programs, lead propulsion trade studies, and design experimental characterization campaigns. Build reusable engineering software and improve model fidelity using laboratory and flight data. Translate propulsion, thermal, efficiency, acoustics, and reliability insights into aircraft and fleet-level decisions through cross-functional collaboration.
